What is the difference between the two methods and which is more definitve in rating teams.

Sagarin states:
The overall RATING is a synthesis of the three different SCORE-BASED methods, PREDICTOR(PURE_POINTS), GOLDEN_MEAN,
and RECENT and thus should be a good predictor in its own right.

Yes, we fell 2 spots from # 61 to # 63 in Segarin. We are now ahead of SHU by a few spots and our strength of schedule is now up to # 79 which is ahead of Seton Hall's. How is Miami with 4 straight losses still ahead of us at # 59. That baffles me as they played some very easy teams at home in their first 5 games and we beat them on the road and they have lost to SHU, Yale & Penn all in their last 4 games.
