Agreed, can't hurt to ask if he'd be at all interested in transferring to a B1G program that is in desperate need of a QB.
He'll likely have better options available to transfer somewhere that has a better chance to compete for a conference title and/or higher end bowl game, but maybe he'd like the challenge if he sees a good opportunity to learn under the tutelage of someone like McNulty.
Nonsense. Every QB Ash has recruited has been given the chance to win the starting job. The issue with the offense is not the giving of chances, its the quality of recruiting and the turnover at OC.
That said, Sitkowski will be fine. Very very few players are able to go right out of the gate. Its a shame we had to put him in that position, but we did.
There is 0 chance he is coming here. He's going to a better team.
I'd say that much more alarming that Rutgers' qb play is the OL run blocking. On running plays v. Buffalo they were not able to create any push at all. Still, the Rutgers offense had at least a chance to improve as the season goes on. I'm not sure Sitkowski will be fine though. Safe to say he doesn't have "it" yet. He may have the game slow down for him, but he may not. For some guys, it never does. He is a prospect at this point, but not a certainty.
The defense on the other hand -- total inexcusable disaster.
Kelly Bryant will have numerous scholarship offers from top 50 RPI teams from the SEC, B12 and B1G by this evening. There is a zero point zero percent chance that RU will look more attractive than any of those opportunities. Not happening
Basically, Rutgers can offer immediate playing time. Unfortunately, there are probably other situations that are more certain and have other additional positives where he can also get that.
We are running an offense, for sure-- QB running for his life.
Nobody else could offer him the chance to start after completing 39 percent of his passes and 7 picks
LOL. We would probably be last on his list. Why would he even consider it? We have a lame-duck coach, no line, no defense, and almost no chance of winning another game.
Hurts is going to play the full year with Bama, but I would take Hurts over Bryant any day. Unfortunately neither one of them will come here.
