It’s amazing watching these 6’10 players playing like a combo guard. The kid seems to have all the tools you would want for that type of player—athletic, 3-pt shooting ability, can finish at the rim, etc. I really liked seeing that he appears to be quick off his feet in elevating to block shots.
Could very well develop into a pretty decent player. Welcome aboard, Keller. You might very well have just committed to the best coach in the country.

Maybe it’s the hangover from the Fran era, but I get a little leery when I see more and more stretch 4 type players filling up the roster sans guards. Of course, then I remind myself BMC is not going to bring on board let alone play a kid who is soft and won’t defend. And I fully expect BMC will find the right caliber of guards to fit his system.

Sounds like his recruitment was just about to blow up. Illinois and UCLA had reported interest in him (and a few more P4 schools) and looking at his tape he really seems like a 4* talent.
I remember when North Carolina had Brad Daugherty and Matt Doherty at the same time and Villanova had Gary McLain and Dwayne McClain.

So unless he learned how to handle the ball better he wouldn’t have been a good ball handler……… probably wouldn’t have been a good dunker until he learned how to dunk. Water is wet, sun rises in the east….. thank you for your insight
