But listen people, there’s a time to stand and have some backbone and if you can’t do it in a situation like this then there’s no situation you can. Adolph Rupp and his family deserve more respect than this. Do you realize we nearly removed his name from that building over the nonsense Brooks was pushing publicly? If it wasn’t for some very influential people at the top of that corporate latter that refused to remove his name Barnhart was willing to sell it off?

Brooks caused a lot of damage by his words. And you and every UK fan owes the that man, and his family, the respect you’re giving to Brooks and his nonsense.

Again, Brooks has never publicly, genuinely, and with remorse, apologized for the slander he brought to this university and the man who single handedly build this program. He will receive no good will from me and shouldn’t from any UK fan until he offers a legitimate apology for trying to add on in the attempt to destroy this programs traditions and the man that is the University of Kentucky basketball program.

Of he had slandered your grandfathers name over unsubstantiated ******** that is provenly false, would you push the insinuation that he deserves our respect? It pisses me off to no end seeing UK fans accept the fact that this guy, without knowledge of anything other than political nonsense he sees on Twitter, is being Allowed to go about his way without a proper apology. It’s not right and never will be.

I have no ill will toward Keion. Yes, I started a thread about his comments saying he had "outgrown" Kentucky because it didn't ring true to me.

But hey, I hope he has a great season. I hope he finds some consistency this year. That was his biggest issue the entire time he was here. He'd have a good game and then 2 or 3 where he would disappear. I hope he can cut out the needless turnovers. I hope he takes a stronger interest in rebounding. The only time I hope he doesn't have a good game is if and when he plays UK, which is unlikely.

Never. That family has been slandered enough than to have one of our own fans speak fondly of a guy that wanted to go further and remove his name from our program. And he never fully apologized at all. He stood behind coward weasel words.

You can follow Brooks too. Much of that family isn’t here to defend themselves and Rupp gave us what we have today.

UDub is 6-1 with Keion leading them in scoring and rebounding with 16.2 points and 7 rebounds. But for our Toppin supporters keion averages 3 turnovers a game, 20% from 3, overall fg% under 36% and their only loss was Cal Baptist.

Not going to lose sleep over Brooks playing that kind of schedule and putting up some stats. In that one loss to Cal Baptist Brooks was 4-12 shooting 11 pts 6 rebounds.

Man that sounds like a Calipari kind of schedule.

He shot 43 - 49% while at Kentucky which is not great for a forward. He's shooting 35% overall and 20% from 3 at UDub which is horrible and playing 36 minutes a game. You really want Brooks back taking 14 shots a game and shooting like that?

Thing that bothers me the most about KB and what he said about the name change - he said basically (and this isn’t a quote, but I’m sure you can find it and it’ll be very close) that he didn’t really know much about Rupp because he “hadn’t educated” himself on the topic - but he supported a name change anyway. That’s just stupid. Kid was an idiot. He was supporting and expressing his desire to change the name of Rupp Arena just because someone wanted him to. No idea why. Didn’t know much about Rupp (which means he knew nothing). Come on now. Can’t disparage an entire family legacy without at least knowing why you are doing it? Geez. I’m not upset at KB leaving here. He should have left right after he “realized” he didn’t want to play in an arena named after a racist (not my opinion, his). Immature kid for sure. Best to keep your mouth shut until you know what you’re talking about.

Omg, so you think you can read minds too. Where in Hades did i say i wanted Keion back? He didnt want to be here. Hes done in my book. You must be a graduate of North Carolina. You think youre reading but really youre just coloring outside the lines.

FYI, I just looked at his stats so far this year at Washington. Evidently he has the green light to shoot a lot and the stats are beyond horrible. He has taken 15 threes and has hit 3 of them! He has taken 67 other shots and has hit 24 for 35%. We would be screaming for him to be on the bench. Only good stats is he is averaging 7 rebounds per game and 75% for free throws. Not sure how to evaluate his defense stats without seeing the games.

Jacob Toppin averaging (this season, through 7 games):
- 41% field goals
- 19% three point field goals
- 7 rebounds per game
- 64% FT

Washington plays zone. Their coach is a Boeheim disciple.
