Is the guy who hurt 2am still on the CU team ? If so I hope some offensive linemen think it's payback time.
His name has slipped my mind, but I'm fairly certain he wasn't a senior last year, so he should still be around

I would make a terrible AD at a school like Boulder that sucks up tax dollars to exist. I would do the unthinkable and move the game to Bronco Stadium.

Actually I think Rick George would probably do that if the CU-Colorado State game wasn't already being played in Denver the week before.

George is a pretty decent AD, and he ain't raking in the tax dollars. CU is better at sucking the life out of students' and parents' bank accounts than it is at mustering state support.

Have you ever been to a college game in Boulder?

In my opinion it’s one of the top 5 environments for a football game, and I’m not talking about the Buff fans
The surrounding are very beautiful sitting just below the flatiron mountains..

CU gets 4.5 percent of its funding from the Colorado taxpayers. It's barely a public university.
From today's Denver Post:
Currently, only 4.5 percent of CU Boulder’s budget comes from state funding, according to a statement from Kelly Fox, the university’s senior vice chancellor and chief financial officer. In financial year 2007, before the recession, CU Boulder received 72.2 percent of its revenue from state funding, according to an analysis of budget data.

Ya know, it's going to be hard for the thread to get hijacked and locked if you're just gunna be tossing out facts all willy nilly.
This source ranks Colorado 49th in per capita taxpayer support for higher education:

Per Capita Support for Higher Ed

Colorado has figured out that it can import educated people cheaper than it can educate them. And while that's not necessarily a horrible idea, it sucks for families trying to pay for college.

I think people attending this game will have a good experience. I'm not saying CU has great fans, but there's really so little passion for CU football anymore that I don't think many idiots will show up just to harass Nebraska fans. And I wouldn't be surprised if the crowd is about 40% red.

Personally I wouldn't stay in Boulder, but only because Boulder hotels are badly overpriced. There are good options in Superior and Broomfield (Flatirons Crossing) that are a quick 10-minute shuttle or Uber ride to Folsom Field.

Could have used your advice where to stay, but I already booked Thursday, Friday and Saturday in Boulder first of the year and your right it wasn’t cheap but it’s at least walking distance your Folsom..

Broomfield is about 14-15 miles from Boulder, would a Uber rider take you that far?

Yes Uber would take you that far, but the the Interlocken/Flatirons Crossing area isn't really even in Broomfield. It's a shopping area and business park about 8-9 miles down the freeway from Folsom Field and has a pretty good variety of hotels. You can also catch the public bus from there and be to the CU campus in under 10 minutes. Superior/Louisville is also on the freeway and even closer to the stadium, though it only has a few motels.

If you found a good place to stay in Boulder, you're in good shape. But if anyone's booking closer to the date of the game, it's just not worth paying through the nose to stay in Boulder when there are other good options very close.

I believe the best QB will face all season will be Montez of Colorado... Sure we’ll hear from Herky fans about Stanley and disagreeing..

Sounds like their new Coach Tucker wants his team to get bigger and stronger and play more physical...

Where did I hear this before..;)

I have seen some really good deals on AirBnB in Boulder and the surrounding areas.
