Absolutely keeping the faith! Frost was hired late and such had to add to roster with late additions! Inherited a team with losing mentality ( same guys on squad this year..and yes, winning and no quit till job is done attitude is something that some have and some don’t!) and freshman that basically learning system and building up mentally and physically!
Now this year, still have seniors and juniors on squad that are still following the same losing patterns! As a 13 year veteran of the USAF PARA RESCUE, I can tell you, if you don’t buy into system day 1, you’re done! Might as well have a bell out on field for players to ring out!
Now fast forward.. Scott and crew are currently out shoring up another good recruiting cycle, our facilities are receiving a 120 million dollar upgrade from an already top notch base! and add to the kids brought in last year with this new cycle.. boom! This program is definitely headed back to where it needs to be!
Patience is tough! Trust the guy with a military background and years of anxiety.. Scott is no idiot! Nebraska will be tough as hell next year!

Unlike many, if not most, on here I want Iowa vs. Nebraska to become an intense rivalry. You guys have won the past two years with last second field goals, in games that were exciting and fun to watch. I hope that continues. I just hope it is Nebraska kicking those field goals.

I definitely haven’t. We have came close on a number of games. Close enough where a play or two goes differently we win the games. Frost is a young coach and he makes mistakes like all coaches do but he’s the right guy. I agree, he will get my Huskers going and when he does...watch out. GBR
I actually have respect for Iowa and like you, would love to keep this game good. It’s just the Iowa trolls on here and on Twitter that ruin things. It’s dam near pushed me to hate the team, fan base and coaches.
Agreed on the troll thingy. But damn it, they are a border State with a good football program and a similar Great Plains culture. Iowans are great people. And damn they have great deer hunting. Not as good as Pennsylvania where there are more deer than people, but better than Nebraska.
A rivalry with Iowa just makes sense.
that’s the part most Iowa fans refuse to see (or at least won’t admit anyways). Once Frost gets his guys, gets our talent built up again...look out. We came close two years straight with a weak roster and our best players freshmen and sophomores. Hell out most dynamic player Wandale Robinson wasn’t even 100% and pretty much didn’t play. It’s coming...can you feel it...GBR

Who are the freshman and sophomores on defense that are our best players?
Wandale is a stud. Hopefully he can stay healthy. I can’t think of any other freshman or sophomores that stood out this year on offense. Martinez was supposed to be that guy this year. We all know how that turned out.
Maybe, it's time to change the whole Iowa sucks narrative. Until our guys can win a few against them, I propose: Instead of "Iowa sucks", "Iowa can suck it". That is all.
Cam Taylor-Britt to name one but being fair here I was talking about offense. Defense is a different beast.
Your right about Martinez, but something definitely happened to him. He’s either hurt or regressed all together. I don’t see McCaffrey having that issue.
actually they could beat us 10 years straight and I’d still say Iowa sucks. And I’m sure Iowa fans would do the same with the Huskers winning the next 10 in a row. That’s a rivalry
I’m not buying it hook line and sinker. He makes some good points, but is also solely focused on the spirited performance Saturday and ignores some bad performances along the way. Either way, it’s always nice to hear an outside perspective and nice to hear a counter to all the sky is falling, fire everyone we have so much of around here.

I am really hopeful for the future. I am seeing fewer penalties, turnovers and embarrassing losses. I believe we are close to turning things around. We need a vastly improved special teams play, a pass rush, a fierce safety, TE who can run after the catch and a dose of confidence. Recruiting another good class is what we need.
I'm willing to give the offense a mulligan this year. If we're not scoring points that match our yardage next year, I'll start to lose hope in the offensive staff. With a more seasoned mills, an entire OL that returns plus some talented young guys (benhart, piper, etc), there's no excuse to not score a bunch of pts.
D. Williams was a big loss. Hopefully, he fills that void at safety and NPG and Farmer come along.
Nebraska should have been the team kicking the field goal without some head scratching play calling.
The penalty (BS call, fwiw) put us 2 and 20 from the opposing 35. A pretty big stretch to say we should have been kicking the field goal, if not for bad play calling. Assuming we convert 2nd and 20 against one of the best defenses in college football is, again, a stretch.
Frost will get things turned around for you guys. It is going to take some time. I noticed your 2020 schedule is a tough one. So the big uptick May not come until 2021. I really like it that you recruit mobile quarterbacks. Good luck to you guys in the future. Martinez must have been banged up this year. That really hurt the offense. Soon you will have more depth there. And that will help. Mc caffery looks like he will be great one. He may need to

If you think next years schedule is tough take a gander at 2021. Perhaps we will be luck enough that Lincoln Riley, Harbaugh, and Day have moved on by that time.

A lot of your big ten tougher games are home games in 2021, plus frost will have the roster rebuilt by 2021
