That is Frost. I know...Culture, give him time..Crap players, Bo, Mike..whatever. The thing is this. I am confident he will turn it around. However, blame the guy that is at the top and quit making excuses about everything else. He is the CEO. He has under performed. Period. This is year one. Whatever. I never expected a miracle, but the man lost 3 games he shouldn't have. If he would have graduated from Texas or wherever, he would have been crucified. He's a Nebraska man, so he gets a free pass in year one. He is being paid to be at least competitive in year one, and he has not. I get it. It's early and bla bla bla, but damn. He is the main reason we are not 3-1. He will learn and grow from it, but he needs to shoulder most of the blame. Take the kid gloves off and call it like it is and hope he learns from it.

I'm all in for Frost as the coach and the time he needs to fix things. I'm annoyed watching the team now, but I also know they'll be much better by the end of the year and much, much better next year

I think he will be ok in the future, On a game to game basis thus far, he has failed. Plain and simple. Many coaching mistakes have been made. He will learn from it I hope.

I agree. He’s learning on the job. NU is different than an AAC program, league, pressure, opposing staffs... all of it. It will be gratifying when the worm turns, but we are seeing a Mid-Major promotion going like most do. Most don’t pan out

Exactly. Sometimes it has to be torn down completely in order to be rebuilt better than it was. One thing I can be sure of is that no one cares more about getting this thing turned around than Frost. That is one thing I have not been able to say about the past 3 coaches.

The old guard brought Solich in. That didn’t work, so they hired Callahan. Solich recruits never bought in, but Callahan did recruit some good players. Osborn interceded again on behalf of the old guard and brought in Pellini. Didn’t work, so here comes an attempt to fix things with a new approach. Pellini’s players didn’t buy in to Riley (the Music City Bowl was a disgrace as several seniors didn’t even show for the team). Now Riley is gone, and we’re back to yearning for the old days again with another legacy personality. The battle between legacy and new has eroded the depth of our players every time UNL administration has fired a coach. Fans and local sports pundits have killed this team. IMHO, of course, but what do I know?

It's not that the players didn't buy in. They weren't very good coaches to begin with.

What are you talking about? Callahan is now an offensive line coach. Pelini is the head coach at Youngstown State. Riley is coaching some D-league team. If these guys were actually considered good coaches, they would have gotten better opportunities. Good try at trolling, though.

True, this! He’s not a great coach now by a long shot, but he may become one if we can avoid firing him after three years. Let’s see if he matures and learns to be a manager. He’s not really a dumb guy, I don’t think.

Boy! Count me as one who overestimated how fast Scott could turn the team around. Don't get me wrong. I am in full support of Scott. I just didn't take into account how dumb some of our players are. The Huskers lead the conference on the All Stupid Team. The 15 yard personal foul penalties just keep adding up. Couple that with the same players who are out of position, cannot cover their man or maintain their blocking assignments that all lead to a 0-4 record. I feel for guys like Devine Ozigbo. I always have thought Devine has been overlooked. All he does is work his *** off, keep his mouth shut, wait patiently for an opportunity to play and give us Husker fans everything he's got when he is out on the field. I think No. 2 is going to be fine. He's just a kid. Spielman is a gamer. I am sure there are others I am missing. Some of the others I don't think I will miss too much when they are gone.
