Seriously, what does this guy get paid to do, make phone calls and set appointments like a secretary. I’m not seeing any kind of magical analysis or finding guys that fit Popes system. We are literally reaching out to all portal guys ranked about 4-9 for their position and most don’t fit the way Pope coaches, including zoom. Is this just another cronyism hire to get a buddy paid by the university. Where are these diamonds in the rough that we heard so much about because right now it’s reach out and see if there is mutual interest apparently.

A GM will not change who the coach is and Pope makes the decisions and has to recruit, not a GM. in the Pro's a GM has the power , in college they are basically secretaries who do what the coach wants them to.

and about Mark Fox, his contract ends in the summer and Pope and Barnhart are too P***y to fire someone so they just wait out the contracts to not renew them like with Brooks and Hart

I’m not so sure they wanted him particularly. They just didn’t want Cal so tried to support him the first couple years. Last year killed that, can’t spend others money so freely and have putrid results.

We don’t really know anything about this guy or his abilities in whatever role he is in. Nobody even knows what his role is ( why can’t UK communicate??). It’s too early to. He may be great in his position, but we once again were way too late to the party as a GM should’ve been in place last fall to start scouting players. But Pope, like Mitch and most of the UK administration, has been slow to adapt to this new world of college basketball and that’s part of the reason why we’re so far behind in everything.

Toxic? If anything, the actual response by real UK fans has been a bit underwhelming. Capilouto, the BOT, and Barnhart have made a big mess. And not everything about what happened with the women's swimming program under their watch is in the public domain as of yet.

Do you call Duke fans toxic for what they said about the Boozers after a legit title contender lost on a miracle shot? That's worse than anything I've seen on this forum. And they are perennial contenders.

lol didn't know he had a bar don't listen to him or his show and really know anything about him. I've seen different peoples opinions good and bad but that's it.
