It has been stated he has an offer from another school and it is higher than our deal.
I didn't hear about another school offering Pryor a bigger deal either. I thought it was more of coming to an agreement with UofL on a certain NIL amount that both sides would be happy with.
It can't always be about money and if it is then I would say do what's best for you young man! When you are already in a program and you are confident about how you are going to be used then let's get it. At UofL he already has a taste of what it means to be a student athlete here. If that is not enough, if winning a championship is not enough and only the dollar is then that is probably not what is best for team chemistry and culture. I believe in the culture that Coach Pat is instilling and from what I gather just like with Coach Brohm it can't all be about the money.
I didn’t realize Pryor was in the portal. Wouldn’t it be tampering if someone offers money to someone who isn’t in the portal? Guess I don’t know the rules.
Well to be fair, team chemistry and culture was probably not at the top of the players attention who committed here. I'm sure Wooley and Conwell would have went elsewhere if the NIL was higher?
Pryor obviously wants to stay but if the money is significantly more, he has to consider it, and maybe accept it. Most of these players are about the money, unless they're parents are already wealthy. I don't think Pryor is sacrificing team chemistry, culture, and winning if he chooses another top school.
It just sucks for us Cards fans.
Pryor is not in the portal, but his agent has no restrictions on contacting any school he wants on Pryor’s behalf.
You are correct that it would be tampering for any school to contact Pryor directly.

Was thinking if UofL and Pryor didn't come to an agreement then he would try his luck in the portal. Didn't know he had a guaranteed deal for more money elsewhere already.
Where did you hear about the other school offering more?

I’ll just say I heard that from a ‘source’ and then read the same thing I heard in another forum. Doesn’t mean he won’t stay with UofL (he probably should). My guess is while $$ is a part of the decision it also has to do with Ament.
I say focus on Pryor he is doable and will make a difference. Ament is holding everyone hostage and shopping for the highest bidder.
It would be tampering if another school contacted him directly. As Pushup said if he has an agent they can shop him around..
This whole system sucks in my opinion. Hopefully the NCAA cleans it up some and installs some boundaries and gets it away from being the wild wild west..
Yes,yes...except there are a couple of things holding us back. Deepest pockets this side of the Mariana Trench and scruples. The $EC has one and not the other. In fact,I'm convinced Tennessee poached our short stop before he ever thought about entering the portal. I can only hope (and after last night's debacle pray) we get a chance to end their season somewhere down the road.
