Awful news regarding Wright, who is one of the kindest gentlemen you could ever meet. Wright was among those honored at halftime on Letterwinners Day vs. Minnesota on 1/19/20.

God bless Kareem during this difficult time. Please help if your means allow.

Anyone who remembers Wright will certainly recall this great game he played vs. the Cuse on January 9, 2001. He finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds. He converted a layup, and appeared to be fouled, as the horn sounded to end the game, which RU lost in heartbreaking fashion, 64-63.

If memory serves correct, I think Kareem played with the Harlem Globetrotters when they put together teams to play exhibition games against college teams.

Stay strong Kareem. Watching the end of the game did you see how fast the refs left the court of course led by Jim Burr.

Kareem is one of the most giving, friendly and gentle men I've ever had the honor of knowing during my time with Rutgers Basketball.

His situation is grave, and any support you could offer his family is vitally important. Please do what you can!

Prayers to the big man! Family is forever.....

I was just watching a couple of those early 2000s Seton Hall - Rutgers clashes on YouTube on Friday (didn’t take long for withdrawal to kick in!), and Kareem was playing. It was good to see all those guys again — even your guys — so this comes as a total shocker right after that. How awful...

years ago we met him in the Gate area of Philly Airport when he was dressed in his HG uniform. My son was like 7 or 8. Took some pics (which I can't find!!) and spent a good deal of time talking to him .

within $2800 of goal. Some great players and other names listed there. Great to see the support. Here's yesterday's update on Kareem.

Would be cool to have a portion of the 2020 NCAA Tournament shirt sales at Scarlet Fever go to Kareem Wright’s fundraiser.
