Wrong board. Rupp rafters is for basketballSEC is better than the ****ing Big 12.
The big 12 on a yearly basis is very deep, not top heavy. So why doesn't the BIG12 have the reputation that the SEC has? The SEC has as much, or more success in the NCAAT than the B12 with fewer teams and mostly lower seeds.
I'm going off of feel and memory here, but besides KU, and Oklahoma last year, what has that league accomplished in the dance?
When students are at home for break...Compare this atmosphere with what we face on the road.
They call him black powder. Is Fisher an albino black guy?
This made me laugh more than it should've.They call him black powder.
If the league is do deep, why has 1 team dominated it for 12 straight years? That doesn't happen if what you say is true. They have KU and that's it. No one else has accomplished a dam thing in the last 20+ years, beyond Oklahoma's FF last year. The big 12 on a yearly basis is very deep, not top heavy.
Similar to the sec with uk, kunis clearly the best program in the conference. Florida jumped up for a couple years, but now it is uk then a big gap to 2 or 3 teams fighting to be ranked, and about 8 teams that are auto wins.If the league is do deep, why has 1 team dominated it for 12 straight years? What makes the league so deep in your eyes?
Fouls were 20-20 including when TCU was intentionally fouling at the end (meaning whistled favored TCU). No need to blame refs anytime a rival wins.It seems like every single foul I see called is on TCU.
Okay, but florida has multiple final fours, they also have 2 recent titles.Similar to the sec with uk, kunis clearly the best program in the conference. Florida jumped up for a couple years, but now it is uk then a big gap to 2 or 3 teams fighting to be ranked, and about 8 teams that are auto wins.
Ku has a large gap to a group of 5 or 6 teams fighting to be ranked, and 2 or 3 teams that should be automatic wins. If your version of a deep conf is multiple threats to win it all, then the acc is the only deep conf. But I think a deep conf is when 70% of the teams will be in the tourney the bottom of the league is competitive.
We'll win by double figures. Maybe triple figures. :sunglasses:
No wonder why it's so hard to think of a team other than KU. Sheesh, I can't believe the accolades that crap conference gets with almost no success. The last current B-12 team that won a title was Oklahoma St in 1946. Other than KU of course.
TCU had 2 bean poles that appeared to be dominating the glass, UK should do pretty well I think.I am usually very pessimistic when we play them, but this year I feel good about it. Our weakness is frontcourt defense, and they only have 2 bigs (Braggs and Lucas). Good rebounders, but neither are skilled offensively. Their guards shoot the 3 well though, so if they are hitting, it could be close.
This year? KU, Baylor, WVU > UK, UF, S.Carolina. I'm not sure if that's who you consider the top 3 teams in the SEC. But those 3 teams are better than the top 3 teams in the SEC regardless. And the Big 12 is better top to bottom this year too.SEC is better than the ****ing Big 12.

Mason is the best guard in the country. Can do it all.
Good game right now. Not sure TCU can hold up. Kansas has a ton of weapons.[/QUOTE
Would you trade Fox or Monk for him ?
Really when is the last time a Big 14 team won the tourneyWrong board. Rupp rafters is for basketball
You shouldn't use those words "I think " it does not bode well for KU fansSimilar to the sec with uk, kunis clearly the best program in the conference. Florida jumped up for a couple years, but now it is uk then a big gap to 2 or 3 teams fighting to be ranked, and about 8 teams that are auto wins.

Lucas got 15 points and 17 rebounds. No inside game????Kansas has no inside game.
Against who? TCU? Okay.Lucas got 15 points and 17 rebounds. No inside game????
Good point, but they do have a couple of bad losses:The BIG 12 is considered "deep" because the teams don't lose bad nonconference games and pull out a good win here and there. Then you have a second or third team be really good like Baylor and West Virginia this year.
In the end there is only one true contender each year, which is KU. SEC this is all I'm asking of you.
Good points, I agree with you.TCU & KU are even teams. Obviously, the refs decided this game just like they do every year in the big 12. KU is NOT a title contender this year or really any year. They r soft & count so heavily on getting the whistle that it doesn't matter what happens in the Rigged 12 Conference season because we know the annual tournament flameout will happen in March.
Is Kansas ever challenged in any big 12 game?

What have they accomplished in the tournament with their fortunate seeding the last 50 years? They get good seeds in the tournament and do what? Fail.TCU is Kenpom #34. That's a solid tournament team and a good win on the road. Major upgrade in coaching can do that for a team. The Big 12 has 3 Kenpom top 10 teams (KU WVU and Baylor), Texas Tech and Iowa State are Kenpom top 30 teams, and KSU, OSU and TCU are Kenpom top 40. To say that the Big 12 is a weak conference is nonsensical.
