Cal has no loss like Mercer and Lehigh on his resume. He also hasn’t had a 5 Star senior preseason POTY candidate like K has with Allen.

They had Noel who had a season-ending injury, Cauley Stein and Poythreas and Goodwin. They sucked their freshmen year and that was after losing their entire championship team.

Doesn’t change the fact that it was an awful year nor am I bashing Duke over this. Just saying, that class showed they were pretty bad that first year. Had no PG, center went down and was just a disaster year.

Meh. Noel (best player by far on that team) missed last month of the season and the NIT is the NIT, that game is and was meaningless.

This is the worst KU team in 15 years

2012 team was our weakest imo. Coach Self seems to do more with less, and much less with more, except for 2008, we were very tight in the championship game though.

This is definitely not KU's worst team under Self. That is foolish. This MAY be their weakest collection of individual NBA potential...but this is a tough as nails TEAM. I doubt there is a single lottery pick among them...but they just earned a final 4, won a tremendous conference by two full games, and was something like 17-3 against tourney teams before the tourney started. Polar opposite of Duke. This team has over achieved.
