Diallo was selected 33rd overall by Pelicans. That is the only Kansas player to be drafted (and he barely played last year).

Self is having a meeting with players right now..

"See guys, only Diallo was able to get drafted.. I told you that your teammates Selden and Green should have come back, but they didn't listen. Let this be a lesson: you're better off staying here here with me for 3 to 4 years and then maybe.. just maybe... I can get you to the 2nd round. Now, can we put aside this NBA-talk? I want to move on to my yearly 'Why winning the Big12 title is the ultimate goal'.."

But they have won 143 straight Conference titles! And that's what really matters to these kids.

I'm sure duke fans are livid since they felt plumlee was going to be drafted since he went to duke and his last name is plumlee. Marcus Paige was a crazy late pick as well. Had he left after his sophomore yr he would of been a first round pick

5 star diallo went in the 2nd round.
5 stars ellis, seldon and greene went undrafted.

but none of that matters...they got svi...who is better than all of them.

Exactly, and all the talking heads can do is try to trash Coach Cal for Skal falling to #28. Really??? At least Cal had players drafted in the first effing round!

They never want to talk about the downright AWFUL preparation job that Self does for his players, all they want to dwell on is anything they can even remotely sell as a failure for Coach Cal.

Kansas fans did their " I came back after another elite eight loss" routine, only to run and hide after posting it.

Complex University. They'll be back when the media pumps them and they don't have to debate on court success.

Perry Ellis is every bit as good as Chandler Parsons. Ellis deserved a spot in that draft if Parsons got drafted imo!

Perry Ellis is in the same situation that Alex Poythress is in - undrafted free agent after four years. Considering Poythress was injured for the better part of two seasons, I think he has far more upside. Let's see how the summer leagues progress and who gets a long look at rosters. No one expected Aaron Harrison (of the twins) to be the one on a NBA roster last year.

Seldon going undrafted is crazy to me. The guy had everything coming out of HS.

The fact Ellis was a freshman the year Chandler Parsons dad was born didn't help his draft stock.

AHAHAHA Parsons is not an NBA star but the level below that ( a top 40 player ) Ellis I doubt will ever play in the NBA . Nowhere near in the same league . Ellis and Poy are though.

Parsons is taller, longer, a better shooter by a mile, and maybe most importantly, is really good off the dribble with good vision. He's an NBA 3.

Ellis is a 6'8 4 with short arms, below average athleticism and a weak handle. He's crafty and uses angles well from the elbow in, but at that size with those tools, he'd never score in the NBA, and he gives you basically nothing else.

The only thing older than Perry Ellis is the Perry Ellis being old comments on this board. See what I did there?

still can't believe a guy like Josh Jackson would go there.

there's a good chance that Self will knock him out of next year's lottery.

Surely somebody was interested in Selden? I just realized his name wasn't called

Eh. Parsons had way more advanced ball skills and also had the mean streak that Ellis has been criticized for his lack of his entire career.

Wiggins did go #1. Though I don't think Jackson is as much of a sure thing as Wiggins. He's probably the 2nd most talented player Self has gotten at Kansas though.

Nah. No chance of that ever happening. Jackson is way too talented. I know we all seem to say this about at least one recruit from Ku every year, but with Jackson,i believe it's true. He is one of the most talented players in the entire class. He has too much talent for Self to screw up. He will get drafted lotto with just his hype alone. If Self ends up burying this kid on the bench, i would be shocked. He is too complete a basketball player to screw up. Jackson is one of those guys that would go lotto no matter where he decided to play for. He's a lotto lock and probably a huge cotender of being the next's draft # 1 selection.

Maybe it's just me, but i have never been a big fan of Ellis. I don't think he has a chance of making it in the Nba. He is a 6'8 power forward that has trouble when he is being guarded by a bigger defender. At 6'8 and in the Nba, that is going to be the case every game he plays in the Nba. When you are a soft frontcourt player, i don't like your odds of lasting long in the Nba. Ellis will always be remembered as a really good college basketball player, but i didn't even think that much of him. He's average at rebounding the ball and doesn't like contact inside. If he makes it on any team's roster in the Nba next year, it would be a huge shock for me. Way more talented big guys with his same skillset have not had the chance to even try in the Nba. The good news for Ellis is the fact he's had a good run and a good life. Now it's time for him to sit back and relax and draw social security for all those hard years he has put in working. He's earned that much.

Lol seldon should of been drafted. I thought he was a good player. I'm guessing teams didn't drafted Ellis since he's already 68 yrs old and may return to Kansas and continue his stellar play.
Yes, Ellis could return for an NCAA record 7th year of eligibility. That's the rumor. [laughing]
