Before this is over with it may be Self and Kansas sitting on that pole. Lube optional. Straight out of the UL play book. Nice work guys. That should attract their normal type clientele.

Oh wow, never would have expected Self to play the “well golly shucks, I to dum to no what’s going on, folks” card.

because clearly they don’t rehearse things like this before hand, and the stripper poles just happened to be laying around backstage, and nobody backstage saw the giant blunt or money gun.

Just when you thought that program couldn’t be any more full of ****. They thought this would make them cool to recruits like Kentucky/Drake, but decided to plead ignorance to appease their older fanbase.

Shut it all down, NCAA.

Was that the dance team on the poles? I’d be furious if that was my daughter.

Kansas becoming more like UL all the time. Nothing they do surprises me any more. I still believe the NCAA won't do anything to them.

"We apologize for the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night," Long said in a statement. "We made it clear to the entertainers' managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate to our fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show. I take full responsibility for not thoroughly vetting all the details of the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening."

-Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self missed the majority of the performance after returning to the locker room, but he said he was caught off guard by some of its content after being told it would be "radio edited."

"That's not the direction that anybody at our school would want that to go at all," Self said. "Regardless of the entertainment that it provided many, it was still not the right way to provide the entertainment."
Same old Bill Self. I didn't know. Same thing he said about Adidas paying players. He must be the dumbest coach in college basketball.

All that stuff sounded too pre-planned to be a surprise to Self or anyone else at KU. Bringing in Snoop Dog as your entertainment and not expecting anything bad? Hell, I'm no youngster and even I know what might happen when you put Snoop Dog on a stage. No one, including the higher ups, can say they were shocked and then send out apologies. That place is a true cesspool, no doubt about it. Least class in all of colleges. My apologies to UNC and UL for demoting them.

It’s a little late to apologize for the Rug Doctor and the Jailhawks !! Can you imagine what kind of field day the press would be having if all the stuff that has happened at the Jailhawks university had happened at Kentucky under Cal ? There would be a daily update on ESPN entitled “look what they done now”

@Nooneputsbabyinacorner please spin this into something positive as you always do. You’re on the clock!

Bill Self could fart and you all would turn it into a story about how Bill Self was responsible for global warming and hates children. Seriously.

What is there to say? Kansas and Self had assurances it would be a clean show. Snoop had other ideas and didn't hold to contract. Not everything is a conspiracy. At least he didn't have Snoop out shooting airball 3's in a Kansas jersey during warm-ups with the team.

I guess since they are about to get nailed by the NCAA, they just quit trying to act respectable and decided to show what they really are.

So you are saying Snoop has mystical powers and teleported those poles into the arena? Or is he a quantum physicist and discovered star trek level technology and beamed them in?

Not really. It’s actually disgusting. Stripper poles snoop swearing every 10 seconds cash gun shooting money in the crowd. I’m not being a Kansas troll but this is completely ridiculous and shouldn’t be allowed. There are kids there and old people. Can’t imagine what they are thinking.

Bill self —
“Bad publicity is better than no publicity”

say that to your top 300 recruits you are nailing lol no

The Kansas/ Bill Self "RUG" is finally pulled back and they found U6's long lost "sister-city"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is too good to be true. Kansas/Self brings in Snoop Dog to bring some much-needed positive buzz to their sickly program. Snoop, of course, comes out guns blazing with poll dancing strippers, cash guns, and vulgar rap lyrics. Self, of course, acts shocked after the fact, making his AD fall on the public sword.

You can't make this stuff up. [roll]

I think I saw Martha Stewart on one of those poles.....................
