They gave up their football program as well so they wouldn't have to pay David Beaty's buyout.

They are going to get off because Adidas aren't employees or boosters for KU athletics in basketball

I certainly hope Kansas fighrs the allegations with everything available to them. After seeing how Duke, NC State, PSU, Ohio State, to name a few, have escaped serious NCAA punishment.

It is for show. Kansas is college basketball. They gave Kentucky Rupp, UNC Dean Smith and James Nasmith coached there and taught Phog Allen the game.

They were back in the Final 4 a few years after the last major run in but they took Kentucky down in the process.
Trust and believe if Louisville is hit as well Kentucky will have a huge target on their back.

Problem is a third rate company like Adidas. Adidas is a joke. I know Rivals is connected with Adidas but they aren't Nike and need to step aside.
KU should have ended their contract with Adidas. UA was paying more money at the time.

Football issue was small time. They used extra coaches in spring ball. Big deal.

Not for David Beaty. Screwed up situation.
They are trying to void his buyout by claiming that he was breaking NCAA rules as coach at Kansas.
There is a lawsuit between him and KU right now and this is more proof KU needs so they pretty much asked the NCAA to add these football level 2 violations

Supposedly the NCAA is going to burn down Lawrence worse than Quantrill's Raiders.
Lawrence Massacre Redux

I doubt it. Can't prove they worked with Adidas.

First. Good idea. Let Nike keep pumping money into Kentucky and Duke players pockets. No need for anyone else to further corrupt the game.

Second. Adidas pay off a Maryland recruit that Under Armor gave $20,000 to be a UM pay-to-player to get him to Kansas.

I understand all this. I am not saying it is right I am saying that Adidas is getting pushed out.
Adidas was the one obviously targeted in this.

The NCAA isn't messing around. KU has a history of cheating since the 1950's.
This is what they are saying. It is a lawless program who are assisting companies like Adidas.

So has North Carolina, Kentucky and Duke. Yet they continue to survive the reports from NCAA and are always found innocent of charges.

Are you sure about that.
Both Kansas and Kentucky were handed severe penalties in the 1980's
Kentucky and the NCAA don't get along. They have a rap sheet as bad as KU.

It is the sport. It is these outsiders who see 15-17 year olds as future cash cows and they become their managers/street agents and then you have shoe companies looking to maneuver their way in and get these players cheap.

The shoes aren't as big in football but the managers are.
Anyone who plays at IMG is told where to attend college. It isn't the student athletes choice anymore because IMG manages their career.

It is a lot worse in basketball than football but it is something that needs to be cleaned up.
Does the NCAA want to chase Adidas out. Who knows? But them going after KU sends a clear and direct message to Adidas and college basketball as a whole.
