Ya but they have four guys on the floor at a time that can light it up. Seemed like they shot 90% from three the last 10 minutes of that game.

I don't think Auburn or Clemson have any chance. Other side though, I think Duke, Cuse, Mich St will take them out.

I had Seton Hall beating them because of Carrington and Delgado. Those guys are studs. Didn't see the game - how bad was the home cooking for Kansas? I figure the refs did something to give it to KU at the end.

They are very pedestrian. Guard the three. Let the big dude get his. Put the dude at the line at the end if necessary.

Should not be hard to knock them out.

I hate Kansas more than anyone, but I'm not going to call an Elite Eight loss a choke.

If Virginia has taught us anything, it's that nothing is automatic in this tournament.

I'm just glad we have Cal.
It is a choke with their loaded teams playing in their own back yard. The equivalent would be the 2015 Kentucky team losing in the EE in Louisville.

They always play their regionals 100 miles from home. Yet they still choke.

That’s a HUGE reach comparing that 38-1 UK team to this KU team that plays 7 guys? Also Duke/MSU both have more talent than us, especially Duke they have like 4 1st rounders. We’ve choked many times but losing to Duke or MSU in the elite 8 would not be a choke

Ladies, 4 times in a row would crash this place... Beat the fighting Swiggies first... Should be the easiest game you guys play in this tourney.

Can you imagine how awful it is being a Kansas fan?

By all rights they should be around where we are in the national title count. They've been a "powerhouse" longer than we have. I put that in quotes because every year they go through the year beating teams, looking pretty decent, beating up their garbage conference that hasn't had another champion other than them since the 40s. And you think to yourself "this team is pretty good". They recruit at a top level, they have an amazing home environment, a very passionate fanbase, and tradition that really is unmatched when you look at the roots of basketball.

And then every single year March rolls around and they choke.

Freaking UConn has more titles than them. Louisville used to have as many titles as they did and most people in their state think they're a joke. To be fair, since Louisville cheats, they've been busted back down to below Kansas's level where they belong.

And their fans, who stick through this through and through, point to their stupid Big 12 championship streak like it matters to literally anyone but them. When we win the SEC we just expect to. And don't even try saying the Big 12 is better than the SEC because the SEC actually has other programs that have won championships since World War 2.

Not to mention how much it probably hurts seeing Roy Williams win all of those titles at UNC after only getting one in fifteen years at Kansas. Granted, he was cheating the whole time.

I really wished that KU would have been the 1st one seed to lose to a 16 seed, our shoulders are always going to be big enough. I feel very bad for Virginia, they might come back in the short term, but it’s devastating in the long run due to March Madness hoopla.

In the long run, like 100 years or so from now, all teams will be graded from 1985 or whenever it was, when the tourney expanded to its current format. Prior to that, it’s all Helms like...

We should have the Champions Classic in February, all of us have teams that need to gell yearly.

The logic regarding KU choking seems flawed... or at least questionable. I don't know why some members of this fanbase can't give credit where it is due. 1) they have had enough success (compared to nearly every other team not UK) to no longer warrant that reputation... 2) Could it be that they are wrongly seeded because they are generally steady teams with enough upper classmen, winning consistently enough through the season to warrant a high seed (even if younger teams have caught up with them by then)... whereas, we generally start slow and lose enough early that we are consistently underseeded, but posses greater talent that comes together by February to be the long cohesive teams that gives others fits.
More succinctly, is it so much that KU is choking... or that the selection committee overseeds them compared to how well everyone is playing by March?

Thing is all KU has to do is keep the game close under 5. Their guards will just run into the lane out of control, throw their bodies into somebody and spend the rest of the game at the foul line. It almost looks scripted. Kind of sickening.

I was flipping around but believe it or not did not see any ridiculous calls. But didn't see a bunch of it. Newmann won it for them down the stretch. A strong perimeter defense would take them out, whoever that might be.

I am not a Kansas fan by any means, but objectively I think they have a very good shot at FF and potentially the title this year.

Our length would be the difference this time around. Would love the chance, especially because it would mean we made the championship game.

This is easily our weakest team in the last 13 years, or so. I wouldn’t be surprised if we lost next round or won it all. One of those years.

sounds a lot like the UK offense, SGA drives drives drives...i’ve always said to beat UK you just make them beat you by making jumpers.

I just hope they advance so they can be a tough out for dook. Anyone but dook, or Carolina. Once dook is out, then I won't care what happens to kansas.

Coach Self has consistently put players in the lottery that definitely had no business of even being there. We have one guy barely hanging on from our 2012 team, over achievers. I would love to see what he could do with a NBA team with a few years of his tutelage.

If that's the case, then Kansas fans can't claim any accolades pre 1985. You know, like The "Rules" written by Dr. Naismith. You can't lay claim to Dean Smith, Adolph Rupp or any of historical feats since you're starting the clock at 1985. Does that work for you?
