Snore. Selective time frame.

Want to compare Self at KU to Calipari at Memphis, go ahead, but keep in mind Cal was at a mid-major program during that time.

Not really fair, though. A blueblood with the resources that KU has compared to a mid-major.

What about comparing Cal's Memphis to Self's Illinois?

Would it be more fair to compare what the two of them did at mid-majors at the beginning of their careers? Tulsa vs. UMass?

How do they stack up there? How many Final Fours did Self lead Tulsa to?

Looking at their entire careers, I give Cal the edge for taking two non-bluebloods to the Final Four.

Bill Self...blah, blah, blah!

Yawn!

Snore!

You all realize that Calipari and Self are extremely similar coaches and have extremely similar coaching philosophies right? Both value defense and both want to run on offense after defensive rebounds. Don't let the fact that Calipari is forced to spend half a season teaching freshman fundamentals and how to work as a team, whereas, Self does not, fool you.

KneeBurns fighting the good fight. :) If our roster fills out the way I hope (Wilson/Walker), we will be salty. In that event, it will be a Michigan State, Kentucky, Kansas race to the title.

Cherry picking would be moving this out to a weird number, like 12 seasons, just to conveniently include Kansas 6 tournament wins.

The rational way would be to either look at the last 10 years or when each program got its respective HoF coach.

But why be rational?

8 national titles never felt so good!
