Calvin Jones had sneaky speed though
If you cannot or won't block, it doesn't matter your ability.

Warners route running causes separation and from what I uanderstand, he likes to lift. Watch him block.

Yep - doesn't matter how fast you are, if you round off your routes and are sloppy with how you use your body to shield the ball, you are going to be a poor receiver.

Great example is Warner's role model, Larry Fitzgerald, who ran a 4.63 at the combine and pretty much couldn't beat any NFL CB in a foot race.

I witnessed his dad pull Coach Walters to the side right after the humiliating loss today and talk his ear off for like 30 minutes laughing and having a great old time. Coach Walters clearly wanted to get on the bus but Kurt Warner just wouldn’t stop talking. Maybe his son is playing because his dad is Kurt Warner and he knows how to build relationships with the coaches. Let’s hope the kid can play for real. God knows we need some playmakers.
Ummm, what?

The real story is that he took the time to learn all 3 WR spots and when somebody went down in practice they needed a body at that guy's spot even though he hadn't been working there. He stepped in and impressed the coaches and was rewarded with playing time. Moral of the story is work hard, do more than is expected of you and learn the guys above you jobs. Then if you get a chance, do the job better than them. He knows where he's supposed to get to. He gets to where he's supposed to be. He makes the blocks he's supposed to and he catches the ball if it's thrown to him. Sounds to me like he could have had 12 catches for Northwestern....

Oh, so it wasn’t Kurt talking to Coach Walters for 30 minutes when Coach Walters clearly wanted to get on the bus? It wasn’t Kurt creating that relationship which caused the coaching staff to say, “Let’s play Kade, because his dad is a great dude. We don’t want to win, we just want to keep superstar parents happy.”

You sure it wasn’t this?

well having daddy who is buds with the staff never hurts, but he wouldn't get on the field if they didn't think he could do the job. Obviously the guy he replaced wasn't getting it done.

I totally agree… I was just poking fun at the silly notion that daddy was the reason that Kade was starting.

Or could be that they played together in AZ..

This team needs a win BAD, because the conspiracy theories and hot takes at this point are getting to be a bit much
