He can crow all he wants.

He is a first year HC with an average roster who walked the dog on our HOF HC and his five-star, pampered NBA preppers..

KSU had "dudes" focused on winning the game. We had "dudes" that are OK with winning games but their focus was (and is) first and foremost on the NBA draft and payday (Oscar is the exception).

On one level I guess you have a coach trying to build respect for his program, etc. But still, I think he should have enough respect, tact and confidence in his program to not have to woof like that, you know.

His entire roster is built on transfers so I don’t get a lot of his commentary. We’ll see if he gets bitten by the Kentucky Curse next week.

I am not a genius, but I really thought the talent disparity was greatly in our favor. We were Bette Ethan them by 10+ points IMO. Which made our inability to widen the gap throughout the game more frustrating

It doesn’t help that 3 guys in our rotation are not tough at all, physically or mentally

If all you want to do is dribble the ball 3 times and then immediately hand it off on the wing, then you don’t want to play basketball

If you are afraid to have the ball in your hands, then you don’t want to play basketball

If you are looking for anyone to shoot but you, then you don’t want to play basketball

If you want to step out of the way of an incoming driving player, then you don’t want to play basketball

You might want to be on the team; you may like to shoot in warmups, but you don’t want to play basketball.

I would die for a chance to be on a team and play, even more so Kentucky!!

Of course he can say what he wants. He won. He’s also smug and classless.

The way he acted after beating KU in Manhattan earlier this year was another example of his lack of class. Grabbing the microphone and yelling to the K-State crowd was a bit sad to see. Craving attention.

I will give him his due in this regard - claiming K-State has a rich history is something no one before him has ever said. 2-10 against UK all-time, since he invoked tradition. Plus, in three of their measly four trips to the Final Four - UK won the title. Three more than his ‘tradition rich’ school has in their history…

It will be interesting to see how badly he wants to stay in Manhattan if his success continues.

This where UK is now as a program. Getting talked down by a first year coach. These guys don't respect Cal at all.
And Cal doesn't even respect HIMSELF or UK anymore. This isn't the 1st coach this year to call out Cal's coaching.

Gates, Oats, Cronin, Stackhouse, Few and even Lamont Paris have disparaged Cal and UK this season before and after games.

Where is Cal's _ALLS???!!!!!

True, but one massive call changed the entire game. He wasn't close to shooting that ball, it was a glaringly obvious pass attempt. Instead, he gets two free throws.

And, as clearly shown in another thread, on the previous play Wallace was fouled but the ref ruled it was a turnover. We would have gotten FT's to go up 3. Then, take away the 2 for this horrible call and we may well have taken control of the game.

They had like 3
yeah that bench dude’s 27 footer won them the game.
They had a few long, long 3 point shots that went in at the end of the game and thats one reason they won- if any of those miss I think we win but oh well

Yes that was a bad call. It gave them two. But kind of hard to argue it cost us the game when we couldn’t match them. We had multiple chances after that, had a three rim out in the corner that we needed.

This team’s season would extend by one game because I have no faith that they would’ve beaten Michigan State.

I keep saying saying. They ALL HAVE SLAPPED CALIPARI IN THE MOUTH ALL YEAR.

He’s one of the least liked coaches in all of basketball. This isn’t going to stop. He’s an arrogant douche bag and nobody likes him. Why do people think the officials are hard on us too.

Calipari!

He’s universally hated. Because his personality is awful. This fan base has got to wake up.

He had dudes who were well coached. He earned it the right to say that. Earlier some media guy asked a stupid question, and he was probably still a bit salty about that.
