Jacob needs his own thread for today’s performance!

It was a great team win but JY kept us going when things were getting dicey in the first half.... that’s my opinion at least!

First time I’ve heard announcers giving love to the whole Young clan, too!

If JY doesn't bring the goods in the first half and at opportune moments in the second half, RU might have had too big of a hole to climb out of and we'd be looking at a double digit type loss while folks nationally would be wondering if we're just pretenders.

He looks like peak Russel Westbrook at time out there. Gets in the paint so fast, puts a move and gets the center on skates, then either hits the midrange or gets to the cup

yes, especially early on in games. Michigan game at Garden last year would not have been close if he didn't wake the team up, and get those early steals..

I thought it was really interesting that he started out on Dousumo defensively. I thought Ron would guard him and most thought Montez would. Maybe Coach thought JY's quickness would bother him.

His growth here has been phenomenal. He was always a great athlete, but at the beginning of last year, “glue“ would’ve been the last word you would’ve used to describe him. I expected improvement, but he certainly exceeded my expectations.

I think Young's been spectacular this year. I think back to the beginning of last season when everyone was playing team ball and he was trying to go coast to coast and 1 on 4 on every possession. I cringed when he came in the game. Coming off the bench and having sat out a year, he was so hyper and I never quite thought he fit in. But, boy, his game has been great. Has done EVERYTHING. What an important piece he has become. Wow.

He was good today, and so was Paul Mulcahy. He made so many plays today that don’t show up in the stat sheet but I guarantee you Pike sees them. They are what you call winning plays.
