His shots looked.....bad tonight. Not sure what the deal was but both shots were way off.

He was way off on those tonight. I keep pulling for the kid and I still hope he becomes a reliable guy off the bench before the tournies begin but time is running short. But, he coukd become a force next year with experience under his belt.

I think hes still a few steps behind the team. Hes got 4 guys that have a year of experience on him, and then Maxey has been in the fold since day 1.

And i meant to ask.. where has Brooks been? I feel like i m
Never see him.

Don’t mean to pick on him but I guess this is picking on him...... he DOESN’T MOVE. He stands around way too much which in turn makes him bad on the defensive side of the ball. Don’t know what his problem was tonight as his shot was waaaay off. Right now he’s basically only hitting shots when he’s left wide open. I think he has talent and I like the young man. Hopefully he’s one of those freshmen that just needs more time.

I’m definitely pulling for the kid. And honestly he rebounds well. Plays pretty scrappy. He needs to take wide open looks but he seems to be pressing a lot. I just hope Quick and Richards are in his ear telling him to give it time. I can see him being a dead eye shooter as a So/Jr when he gets some experience and confidence.

hopefully he'll learn soon he doesnt have to shoot it every time he touches it

Actually, I thought he was passing up way too many shots at the beginning of the season. He's known to be a shooter and his stroke looks great. Once he builds confidence to other parts of his game, he could be dangerous.

If he's been paying any attention, all he has to know is if he works as hard as Quickley, it can definitely be him next year. He's progressing like Quickley did last year. Can you just imagine having BOTH of them next year??
Juzang is a true 3. I hope he works hard and the game comes to him next year and he's a 10 to 12 point guy per game. to expect him to be at 17 or 18 is asking a lot

I still think he can provide important minutes off the bench in March. Pulling for the young man. Remember he should really still be playing his senior year of high school right now.

I wouldn’t go as far to say force and Juzang in the same sentence just yet.

I am wondering if he is not in good shape. IQ came back this year and you can see his is much better shape. He has a great shooting form and i hope he works hard on that shot and getting into better shape.

I like Juzang and think he has gotten a lot better, but tonight wasn't his night. He barely hit rim on 2 3 pointers and threw a lazy pass that leads to a TO in limited minutes. 4-5 games back he really looked like he was about to bust out and now I don't know. I hope he has a good game Saturday and gets back on track because we need him come March.

I think he's in an inbetween mode. Seems like Cal is encouraging him to shoot, might even, if not probably, be telling him if he doesn't shoot he's coming out. So that's got him in a rushed mode similar to Q last year. Cal's been praising Immanuel for his improvement in acting fast but thinking slow and clear. He just needs to hang in there, he has great form and aside from tonight most of his shots look pure.

Juzang issue is he rushed his shots and gets nothing set - ball comes off his palm and is wide left. When set or pump fake and pull up he’s pretty good. I like his aggressive nature on court - just needs time

Johnny and Keion will be fine. Just keep growing. Guys like PJ, Nick, Quick, and Ashton are showing that it takes a little time for some. Overall, they've made strides since November, just need to keep at it.

The kid is super young and reclassified. He is a really hard worker, is really smart and his family is very well off. He should not have any pressure to get to the NBA until he is ready. The only issue is if he decides that playing closer to home (SoCal) would be better, but not sure if we have a player like him coming in, a tall "pure" shooter.

It is clear that he is trying hard and that Calipari has faith in him, but he just doesn't have confidence in his shot right now. It is ironic that he looks and feels so similar to how Quickley was last year. So if he is a hard worker like everyone says, he should have a nice Sophomore year. He is the type of player the NBA loves these days, tall guard that can shoot the three....all the tools seem to be there, he just has to figure out how to tap them

Besides the bad turnover, the only thing that bothered me tonight was late in the first half he shot a 3 and just stood there watching it. The ball bounced right back at him and almost made it to him but since he didn’t follow his shot one of the A&M guys reached out and got it. That really burned me up.

He’s been bad about not following his shot all year but if you know your shot is off then there’s zero excuse not to be following your shot.

I like Juzang, he’s going to be a really good player as a sophomore imo. He was never that guy that was going to come in and consistently light it up as a freshman. He could still have a big game or two in March, you never know.

For the “he’s super young and should still be in high school” crowd, not really. He turns 19 in a few weeks. He’s in the right class. He’d be pretty old for a Senior in high school.

I thought the same thing. I think the kid needs to drop about 15 pounds, and live in the gym over the summer shooting everyday. He’s hesitant at times which is expected with some young guys but if he needs a model to go by, he’s got one.

I saw that too and said out loud "Follow your shot, dude!!!" He may have been able to get an easy lay-up if he did. If he sticks with it, he will be fun to watch grow into a major factor in the next year or two.

Hope the kid dedicates himself like quickley did. Ya can just see him becoming a knock down shooter in the next year or 2.

agreed. They both have a world of upside as college players and have shown flashes.
