I know others have said some positive things and have had high hopes about this kid but I think the light is beginning to turn on for this kid. I love watching him develop before our eyes and have high hopes for him come March. He could make a huge impact for this team I especially love seeing how intense he is on defense. Anyone else excited about this kid and what it could mean for us by the NCAA's? Feel Kinda similar about Brooks but mainly focusing on Juzang in this thread.

He was the sole replacement for Hagans, Quickley, and Maxey tonight. Those guys were out of the game for 18 minutes and that’s exactly what he played. We could have lost tonight if he weren’t turning the corner. I’d love to see threes start dropping for him.

I haven't really worried about honestly. When he's in, for the most part, he's shown a willingness to take the shot and to play defense. He's got great mechanics on his shot and it just hadn't fallen for him. He's having a normal progression. It's just here when it doesn't happen right away the expectations are so high people overreact. He's only played I think 15 college games. We just have to be patient.

His shot is always right on line mostly a little long. Maybe still a bit to juzzed yet.

It looks like the game is slowing down for him. If he can just stat knocking down 3s he gives us yet another scorer and option at guard with already having 3 really good guards playing consistently. It makes us a tough out in March.

It’s good the dude scored 6 points.

But he again missed wide open 3’s. He’s shooting 17.6% from the outside on the year and I’d argue that on the vast majority of his attempts he has been wide open. So I think some folks are getting a bit too excited. And with the pieces coming in next year, if he isn’t a 3-point marksman, there’s not going to be significant PT for him. I also think Allen will push for minutes next year.

As he gets more time he will get into the flow of the game and he and his shot will feel more comfortable.

He has too nice of a shot for that percentage not to go up considerably.

And meant Brooks only played the 4 where he is much better. I like how engaged JJ looks at there.

He’s much better after a pump fake and dribble - when he is wide open and I mean wide open he rushes his shot for no apparent reason - I mean he doesn’t even have a good grip on it. It’s the craziest thing it’s like there is .5 sec on the clock everytime he shoots a open 3.

You can tell the kid wants to be on the court during game time.
We can differently see growth in his game this season.
You now in tournament games it seems like someone always hits big shots or plays their best ball ever.... he could be our guy this year to do just that.

He had a beautiful long jumper just like you described, pump fake and move then bottoms!

Looks way more comfortable, just waiting for those 3's to start falling. His rebounding is a big plus too.
His shot has rimmed out almost every miss he has had......I haven't watched every second of every game but I don't remember any bad misses.....
