I guess he didn’t feel like playing for the name on the front of his jersey.

He really improved taking the ball to the hole and getting in the lane for easy baskets. I think he could become a much better outside shooter and ball handler and improve his stock with another year. I hope he leaves but have a feeling he will be back.
Nobody has a problem with guys leaving early when they average like 25/game in leading their team to the FF. Not even close to situations like EJ Montgomery, Whitney, Hagans, & others who clearly weren’t ready & had done nothing to make anyone think otherwise. Not saying that Juzang SHOULD go but he at least showed enough for it to be a realistic option. Like someone else said, his stock will probably never be higher. Personally, I think he needed another year to improve his ball handling & add more consistency to his shot. But, this is nothing like the decisions that make ppl insane here.
In a patient world he may need another year but I can see him as a prospect a team takes a chance on hoping he's the next Klay Thompson.
Absolutely. At 6-7, with his stroke, someone will draft him based on his potential, if nothing else. But, he’d probably go late first round. I think if he came back & improved his ball handling he could possibly end up in the lottery. I would tell him to go now though if he has a definite 1st round grade. I’m just saying he has valid reasons for declaring & isn’t the type of early entrant that frustrates us so much.
I hope he is gone because the idea of UCLA being a preseason 1 seed in the tournament goes bye-bye if Juzang is gone.
Yes only at Kentucky he would've still been fighting with Allen for mins this past year while Boston, Clarke , and Askew got to run wild while getting all minutes available. Now he will probably be drafted higher than any of the Cats I mentioned great move on his part!
I don’t see him improving his draft status significantly by returning. Garza did not jump into lottery by returning.
The Topps certified sticker with his auto is a bit odd. Topps doesn’t make NBA cards anymore, panini owns the license
Love how you think UCLA is irrelevant but you worry about them being a number 1 seed next year.

It’s really his best shot. Had a nice season. There’s a real chance he wouldn’t have that type of season next year. He’s an example of a guy who has to give it a shot. Lacks the speed and athleticism that could take him to the next level with more skill work. Needs to go based on current perception of his game among other things.

Well he was able to shine and show his talents at UCLA. Not so much at Kentucky under Calipari.
Similar to many before him (and Sarr) he was Calipari’d.

Name a UK player that carried UK to the Final Four, game after game, that drove UK fans to complain about him leaving early?
The closest I can find is Aaron Harrison, but Juzang's run was ten times more impressive. He didn't just hit shots at the end of games, he was unstoppable from the 2nd half of the Michigan State game until they lost in OT in the final four.
Juzang would be stupid to come back, the odds of him going on another run like he just had, are very low.
Meanwhile, we're losing EJ, Richards, Hagans, Diallo, Dakari, Knox, Skal, Teague, Lamb, Wenyen and many others, after they played like ****.
The situations cant be any different.
You literally just answered your own question with 3 of the names you listed in the end. We wouldn't have made the F4 without Lamb either year he was here, or Johnson's first year when WCS got hurt. We also wouldn't have made it to the F4 or won it all without Teague. People still ***** about all 3 leaving early. Booker is another people bitched about leaving early until it became apparent he was a franchise player.
Overall, Juzang certainly scored more, but Aaron Harrison hit clutch 3's 4 games in a row against some of the best teams in the tournament. And most were in the closing seconds with the game on the line. That's pretty hard to top!

Smart move on his part. Look and see where you stand in the eyes of NBA teams after an outstanding NCAA Tournament. If you aren't happy with the answer, return to a possibly #1 ranked UCLA team to start next season.
Looked like much more than a spot-up shooter in the tourney. Stock is very high right now, relative to where it was pre-tourney.
I feel it's likely a combination of both kids like Montgomery, Whitney, Hagans, etc. thinking they're better than they really are and people around them giving them bad advice, thinking more about their own best interests rather than the best interests of 19, 20-year-old young men. Nobody really wins from it as a result, except for maybe handlers/AAU coaches who are paid to sway these players towards attending certain programs. I'm not saying anyone paid any of Montgomery, Whitney or Hagans to attend UK, I mean college basketball in general.

Teague and Lamb rode AD and MKG's coattails to the 2012 title and Dakari simply held serve.
Come on Lead Belly, you have to come stronger than this. None of those players even had 1 game anywhere near as big as what Juzang had in every tournament game he played.
If Juzang had just carried UK to a FF the way he just did for UCLA, very few UK fans would have a problem with him going pro.
This isn’t any different than Liggins and/or Knight in 2011, both had great tournament runs and both went pro after that season.
So I'll ask you, have you heard snyone complain about Liggins or Knight going pro after 2011? I haven't.
