Im not sure who bothers me more...bandwagoners who only follow UK basketball, or friggin alums who do likewise.

Anyway, have we heard what the news is, whatever sport it is?

I an Alum who tries following all sports. I agree with you about those who just focus on basketball only or, in some cases, football only (and they almost hate anything basketball). I just love UK and support them all, even the cheerleaders who got a bad rap in one thread on here not too long ago. I have my favorite sports, like most people do, and I admit basketball and football are my two top ones but still support and go to watch other UK sports too.

It's Martez Thrower. Good player, but a 3 star guy. What a letdown.

The last couple of years of UK Football have been some of the most fun of any sports team I've ever followed. Boom, Allen and Bowden as long as a ton of other players have crushed all expectations and put the haters in their places. Some phenomenal group and individual performances. No gimmicky Hal Mumme stuff either, just straight up beating people.

Stoops has done what lots and lots and lots of coaches couldn’t do at UK.

Love both teams all the way. I think since there are less roster spots on basketball one addition is more potent and significant than one football addition unless its a huge addition. So for those wanting Sarr news, Cade, or even saw Kuminga- vs. a three star linebacker, there is a difference in significance in either direction. Glad we got someone who evokes those emojis from the CI gang, but I get someone feeling let down.

the same can be said for the football only crowd

i have never understood how anyone that loves UK does not love all UK sports
Oh I agree. I love UK baseball...been missing it this spring.

The football only crowd, who I definitely lean towards, mostly dislike the basketball program because of the favoritism and absurd money spent on the basketball team in comparison to the football team. I can understand people not supporting a bad product, but reality is UK fans by and large did for decaded without making a stand. Thats on folks older than me, weve had some of our better years in my brief existence. Their anger towards basketballs favoritism is understandable.

Meanwhile the basketball only fans either are bandwagoners who root for Ohio State or Alabama or Notre Dame etc, which I have zero respect for those kind of fans, or just dont care about the football team at all. And while thats certainly anyones prerogative, they way they talk down about the football team as if basketball is superior.....you people are in the extreme minority. I dont like soccer. At all. But I realize just about anywhere outside of this countries borders people would look at me and laugh if I tried to convince them some other sport was superior. Meanwhile, these basketball only fans have zero awareness of where basketball actually falls on the totem pole, especially here in the South.

Everything on HOB seems to be football related.

Yes it is, very. Most of the real inside connections are on the football side. They do a good job on the basketball side, just less info making the rounds. Cal (his camp) has become very tight lipped.

Exactly. I don't know how anyone can't be hyped AF about our football team right now.

Cmon down Senor Thrower! Welcome to BBN. We're ornery as hell.

Lolol, that's why people get annoyed....a 3 star football commit and people act like they landed the second coming of Jevon Kearse
Understandable. But it's actually legitimate news. Meanwhile on Rafters 2/3 of the front page is "Hey...NBA blah blah" or "This guy put his name in the transfer portal from Butt Fudge U......will Cal talk to him?" or highlights of the latest 3 yr out commit who might remove all future hs eligibility and recommit so we can get him.

And lets not act like people went absolutely idiotic over the Purdue guy who by rights is a Tubby caliber commit. Same for this WF guy. I mean...get real. Sorry...the constant basketball turnover has me sour as hell on that team. I will watch and cheer, but I'm not gonna pretend like it's the same as it used to be. It aint.

I love both!!! Football is picking up speed. I went to a football game last year for the first time in a while. Our athleticism and talent is off the charts compared to years past. Kentucky Hits baby!!! Also Terrence Clarke jumps 60 inch vertical, ridiculous!
Are you sure that's not a 60 inch high jump? A 60 inch vertical would seem nearly impossible.
Edit: I just looked it up. That was a 60" box jump. The world record vertical jump is 63.5 inches though.

Yes, you are correct, if that's what it's called. Either or I would have needed a step ladder.
