Did he even have a visit scheduled?There was a news segment years ago about a popular meme that came out of nowhere and was spread all over FB and Twitter by adults. Turns out it was created by a bored teen. When we talk about the future, I don't worry about the younger generations, I worry about the older ones who'll believe "news" and memes from social media accounts because "it's on the internet so it's gotta be true!"

Anything on Facebook, I always have to check to see if it's actually true. So many fake reports and lies being posted. Why it isn't monitored better is beyond me. Worse is that, like you say, so many adults spread these fake stories with no thought about it being reliable.
