Okay, I understand, but I am so happy for him. He didn’t loose faith. So many blasted him from game # 1 to now.
Eating crow isn’t sufficient to cover up how bad so many were so wrong.

I suspect it was a combination of Calipari seeing the talent and having the patience to develop it.We weren’t wrong. He was bad for a while. We are happy to see him have a couple good games and earn that starting spot he’s been gifted all year.
Yes, but Edwards doesn't actually need to lead us to or in anything, right? He needs to be a good role player - the "Swiss army knife" folks keep referencing.I’m super happy for the kid, he’s taken all kinda flack and just quietly went about his business. I hope he leads us to a big turnaround honestly because he deserves it.
No he doesn’t. But if he plays close to this level it will help us immensely because we kinda expected him to be a player like this. We have a lot of weapons but the better he is the more engaged he will be.Yes, but Edwards doesn't actually need to lead us to or in anything, right? Maybe it’s something he’s been working on in practice, looked smoother than it was a month ago for sure.Did you happen to notice that EDWARDS kept his elbow directly under the ball and his rotation was 12-6, as a result ??
You were wrong. He just had to learn. He’s been coming. We weren’t wrong. He was bad for a while. We are happy to see him have a couple good games and earn that starting spot he’s been gifted all year.
Yeah including if he can keep building off that game today. Kid was fantasticI don’t think he would be at this point without playing time. Maybe the coaching staff knows something?
I hear ya. To be fair, I posted this around halftime. He went on to double his scoring output from that point on.So happy for him. I won't expect 28 again, necessarily, but he can definitely provide 12-16 a game with the effort he showed.
Absolutely. No he doesn’t. But if he plays close to this level it will help us immensely because we kinda expected him to be a player like this. We have a lot of weapons but the better he is the more engaged he will be.
I have to really credit Edwards. Even during his worst games, he was still out there trying to work through it. He rebounds and is physical, if his shots are falling, we have a real chance to go far in the tournamentYeah including if he can keep building off that game today. Kid was fantastic
We have 4 capable guards, Edwards can own the small forward spot on this rosterLot of people have said Wagner playing well in March is the key to going deep in the tournament, but I think many would agree that Edwards playing well is a bigger key.
This is a silly post.So many blasted him from game # 1 to now.

As I said. When refs control games in conference.... Teams lose games they normally wouldn'tOf course they can, it’s just they don’t give the same effort every game. It’s like most Cal teams, they always win a game with their back against the wall. But no way this team should have more than 5 losses at most.
I hate when people say haters. The haters judge him on his play and minutes. He did not deserve what he was getting. He is now playing much better so he deserves more minutes. His comfort level growing over the past month has been obvious. Maybe, just maybe, we'll have him at his peak in the tourney. Im very happy for the kid.
Hopefully it shuts up some of his haters on this board.
Now do the same thing for DJ…You were wrong. He just had to learn. He’s been coming.
But isn't it true that Edwards' great success tonight came mostly playing the 4?We have 4 capable guards, Edwards can own the small forward spot on this roster
Perhaps he needed the floor minutes to get comfortable. At any rate, I didn't mention minutes. You know good and well how adly Edwards was treated on this board.I hate when people say haters. The haters judge him on his play and minutes. He did not deserve what he was getting. He is now playing much better so he deserves more minutes.
LOL He had one good game. Now it's time to eat crow?So many blasted him from game # 1 to now.

The critique was certainly warranted. If you can’t critique, then what is a message board for? Now people who contact players with vile comments or even criticisms are not good people (or maybe mentally ill). Simple as that. But that’s not what we do here. I think it’s more than ok to critique the current state of the team, who’s playing winning basketball, who needs to improve, who should be playing where, etc. That’s not a personal attack. That’s fans discussing how they think their team can improve. This is a silly post.
Edwards went from a guy who was considered a preseason top 5 pick, to a guy who was giving us about 6 to 7 points/game.
The critique was warranted. All of us are happy for Justin today, but the criticisms were valid. Your post is bizarre.
People don't understand what a ''hater'' is. Haters would hate even after he dropped 28. Nobody would be congratulating him. People interject too many emotions into all this. It's simple. Just call it like it is. A player doesn't deserve the minutes, say that. Doesn't make you a hater. It's just calling balls and strikes.I hate when people say haters. The haters judge him on his play and minutes. He did not deserve what he was getting. He is now playing much better so he deserves more minutes.
Im ecstatic he had this game, but let’s remind everyone this was Bama, who has a defense that’s almost as shat as ours.LOL He had one good game. Now it's time to eat crow?
