I really hope this kid turns out to be elite. We haven't had an elite small forward here since MKG.
I think he’s gonna be! He very well could be our best player next year and maybe a go to type of guy late in a game. Even tho I don’t like him, Edwards reminds of RJ Barrett.
I see your point but Keldon was awfully good. I think Edwards has a chance to be Cal's best all around SF at UK.
And I loved MKG.
Good to get the video since this time of year any info is scarce, but really there is nothing we can take from it except he is practicing.

His offense is obviously well ahead of MKG. If he can be half as good in transition, on defense, and on the glass as MKG was, this could be a special season.

Only thing I got was on his jumper he has zero athletic base. His feet are way too close together. At least it looked that way in those clips.

His scouting report from last September (so still pretty accurate) is not what some here are going to want to hear.
Knox is a big "no." He wasn't a pure small forward, and even if you say he was, he wasn't elite. He was good, but he wasn't in that Brandon Ingram/Jayson Tatum/Andrew Wiggins level.
And Maxey's not even remotely close to being a pure elite small forward. He was a true combo guard.
Can't wait to see him and the guys this week in Canada!

Knox, absolutely no. Not even close. Could not and would not even come close to defending and rebounding as good as MKG.
You’re being silly with Maxey. We played a 3 guard lineup but Maxey was in no way, shape, or form a small forward in the mold of an MKG.
Im so hyped on Wagner it's not even funny. I could see him being our best player and have a sneaky suspicion he and Reeves will make a hell of a tandem with Reeves benefiting from Wagner drawing the defense as he drives to the basket and kicks out to Reeves for a 3.
They use those goofy balls about everywhere all over the world except America. Same for the metric system. America just has to be different.
MKG may have not been an offensive machine but he impacted every single game in every way. He was a flat out winner.
James Young was pretty dang good.
Mkg game was motor based, nothing about his offense was elite. He was an under sized power forward that stayed inside 10 ft

His ballhandling and passing skills were elite for a college Small Forward. He just wasn’t much of a shooter, especially from 3 point range.
Actually, funny enough, that was exactly the thought process back in the day. America’s founders purposely changed the spelling of several English words (ex: color) and maintained use of the imperial system despite the UK and Europe going metric. The US did this, and more, as a passive aggressive form of protest against our old English masters and to make our independence clear to the rest of the world.
