Per seeing a someone's second hand account of what Evan Daniels said on the premium Vols forums...It says that he hears Blackshear will NOT be visiting A&M before making his decision. I don't know what else has been said...

Wes Rucker of GoVols247 says he feels confident....but he's also a kiss up to their coaches and gives out whatever they're selling.

It doesn't make sense...Tennessee even with Blackshear is probably just a tournament team next season. If he wanted to be the man...just go home to Florida and be the man on a ranked team or even stay at Va Tech....or a coach that had Kevin Durant and went out in the 2nd round lol

Daniels is connected to UT and probably got his info from them...so that's why he posted on their forum rather than our forum. He probably doesn't know what KBJ will do...so he's not going to post info about UK that he doesn't have at the moment. Evan is more into the AAU/High School scene...grad transfers are a different ball game

Tennessee did recruit him hard when he was a senior and they have a void now Grant Williams and Schofield left.

Another thing to note on Evan Daniels

Daniels lives in Nashville, TENNESSEE. He's more connected with people around the UT program and has better sources with those guys than he does people in Lexington.

The Kentucky staff is notoriously tight lipped. Cal went to the draft...nothing came out. Blackshear's have been secretive as well. Remember when they wanted to keep the in-home visit on the hush?

I'm betting the Vol Staff thought that if he didn't commit to UK on his visit...then their chances rose. They feel like their visit went well with a full weekend on campus with the parents.

But...Kentucky already had the in-home...the parents know as they already brought up the UK October combine being a big deal...the pitch was already made. We basically got 2 visits, with 1 on campus.

They want to make it a big surprise and not ruin "his moment". Him committing during the draft just softens his land. This will put his commitment front and center of the news...a smart marketing technique.

Just to clarify / confirm the original post, Evan Daniels did post exclusively on the UT 24/7 board yesterday afternoon. He said a decision is likely to come this weekend and he doesn't expect KB to visit Texas A&M this weekend. He made additional comments which sounded very good for UT and their position in the recruitment.

Then, earlier today in a separate reply, he confirmed that he does not think a visit to TAMU will occur before a decision is made.

I keep waiting for this to get more attention than it has, but for some reason the news really hasn't exploded outside of the UT message boards. But, the way I read it, Evan Daniels thinks he's going to Tenneessee and the decision will be announced by this weekend.

Update on Blackshear: he is currently eating an apple while watching soccer highlights on ESPN. It is said that he really enjoys soccer, per sources.

But is that just what Evan heard from people around UT? Because the fact that he hasn't mentioned Kentucky means he has no info and doesn't want to say anything. He also has been in draft mode this week as well...

Maybe stop making threads and just wait until something happens, then you can claim you were right, since you've said every possible outcome.

I mean they aren't going to be very good next year...maybe a tournament team. They currently don't have a scholarship....so who is leaving? No one is in their portal at the moment...timing is an issue.

That's the question, isn't it? Is he getting that info from the staff, which we all know can be a bad source for information (see Oregon with Jamal Murray or Maryland with the Harrison twins), or is he getting it from a more reputable and solid source?

I find it interesting that Evan hasn't stated anything via twitter or anything more public than a premium UT message board. It's just really odd to me and I don't know what to make of it. But, I know I would feel better about things if he was posting over on Cats Pause and saying good things about where UK stands.

Yeah, I thought they didn’t have an opening. I’m not sure what the selling point for ut would be? Maybe play him like Williams?

Or maybe he pulled a page out of Ks book and said he’d play Blackshear like Durant.

A. We really need to stop paying attention to UL fan Daniels just in general . That's all . B. KB going to Tennessee would mean every single thing he said about wanting to play for title and be around other good players is a lie . I don't think he is lying . Tennessee is at best a 10 seed in the tourney even WITH him. They lost their entire team basically . As they had 3 great players and 1-2 good players . The 3 great ones are gone and UT doesn't reload .

Wes Rucker lost all credibility when he thought this year's Tennessee team reminded him of the '96 UK team. I unfollowed him after that. Forgot he even existed until now.

I keep going back to KB's parents trying to cover for the UK staff by pretending a visit did not happen. That tells me UK is in a strong position. Players parents do not cover up for a school to benefit them if they are not sold on that school.

Evan Daniels was born and raised in Louisville Kentucky, lived in Lexington far longer than Nashville which is not anything close to Knoxville.

I am getting fatigued from all the "Blackshear is/isn't coming threads. Request to the Mods, merge them into 1 giant thread. Have a bot on guard, any post with KB, or Blackshear, or variations of the spelling just autodumped into said giant thread. Then, when KB shows up somewhere, burn the thread.
