Yeah, it’s another one. I promise I’ll talk about football when there is football to talk about.

This is yet another prime example of why the WNBA and its players are so downright unlikable. It’s just incessant nonstop virtue signaling. Whether it’s that they deserve more pay from a league that is barely financial viable. Or defending men playing women’s sports. It’s one thing after another.

Now you have Angel Reese, born in 2002, saying she didn’t play with dolls as a kid because they didn’t look like her. Spoiler alert: black dolls were ubiquitous before she was even born. Girls played with black dolls when I was kid in the early 80s. But all of that is immaterial. She’s gonna get credit for standing up on this tough issue. The internet is abuzz with Reese bringing black girl representation to dolls. What's most infuriating is not that she's a dumbo, it's the media fawning all over this story, in total denial of historical facts.

On top of all that, she sucks at basketball.

Maybe this is the whole thing that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Maybe they keep doing ridiculous things because it keeps them in the news. If so, it’s working.

Over time, this is what I have come to believe. I wonder how much the drama translates to viewership?

I mean, this has to be it. Black dolls have been around for decades. They were around decades before Reese was even born. Yet, this has been big news today. Frankly, last time I was in a target with my kids and they were looking at toys, it seemed the number non-white doll varieties outnumbered white dolls. There is literally nothing relevant or important or noteworthy about Reese's doll.

I cant imagine people tuning in to watch a game because of a stand on dolls. Maybe it has to do with getting followers on Twitter or something. I could see a direct monetary input from getting followers, but I dont see something like TV viewership getting affected.

Oh, yeah, with Reese it's never about her game. It's 100% her social media following.

It’s about clicks and followers. America has become incredibly dumb and you can lie to people with ease. Social media has become a cesspool of misinformation for dump people to absorbe. It’s the American way.

It's amazing, though, isn't it? With the ubiquitous nature of media and social media, it should be almost impossible to get away with such a blatant fallacy as this. Thing is, everyone in the media knows good and well there is nothing relevant about Reese's doll. It's just a total rejection of facts and truth.

One thing Angel can say. She and LSU never beat USC in the last 19 games. 0-19 is LSU'S record against USC in the last 19 games. Perfection at its best for Angel Reese and LSU. In reality who cares about a black barbie doll. They were on sale no one bought them. Who wants a black barbie doll?? Really.

Have you seen the episode of The Office where Dwight bought up all the hottest doll for sale that Christmas and was reselling them at a huge markup? Pretty funny.

This guy understood it completely: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it".

I heard someone put it well.

How much brainwashing (propganda) did it take to get a female owner of a female basketball team to shout at and belittle young females because they dont want males to play against them?

Crazy thing is, the girls didn't even specifically mention the trans issue. They just had signs thanking Sophie Cunningham. So the WNBA owner berated teen girls for expressing gratitude to a WNBA player.

Not that crazy, you can actually see what they were wearing.

ha...I didn't realize she had posted on X previously that she was so excited about her Barbie doll b/c she played with Barbies growing up. Then she gets to the presser and plays the race card that she didn't play with dolls b/c none looked like her.

She probably meant a black Barbie with eyes so far apart they look like they’re on the sides of her head.
