Oregon beats Purdue 35-0
The same Purdue that was in the B1G CG a couple years back. Purdue is the anti-matter version of Indiana.

UCLA beats Rutgers ... ugh

South Carolina destroy Sooners 35-9

None of these scores surprise me except Nebraska getting worked 56-7.

Texas, Alabama, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, etc. These schools and others have billionaire donors who can throw 50 mil at the program on any given day.
So what Indiana is doing right now, considering they don't have access to real bones, is quite amazing. I want to believe that even in this era having the right coach can overcome a money deficit.
I really want to go back to the days of amateur sports ... wishful thinking on my part.

Indy went out and got a proven winner as a head coach and a Vet QB.

I know right,it looks very authentic.Maybe we should try that, maybe go back to when Nebraska beat the 4 horsemen 2 out of 3 years.

Same. Prior to the game I thought "getting worked" by Indiana would have meant we lost 7 - 28.

I'm having a difficult time dealing with the ineptness I witnessed today.

Indiana could have beat Georgia today. They execution on offense was extremely efficient and effective.

What sucked is they hung the same amount of points with their back-up qb in the 2nd half. I mean there was a lot that sucked this was just one of many.

The ineptness, the lack of preparation in all 3 areas, then folding the tents early in the 2nd quarter.

I said in anotther thread if the game started to get out of hand, NU's players minds would slip to next weeks OSU game, and thats a recipe for a blowout. And it was.

I expect NU to cash it in early against the Buckeyes as well. It looks like a no-punt game for OSU if we are gonna get the same lack of effort on defense as Saturday.

The thing we have going for us on offense, is the OSU staff will have no idea what we are going to do, because our staff doesn't either.

NU will be lucky to limp into a lower tier bowl game at 6-6, and 5-7 looks just as likely. As Rhule says, "We're still 5-7 until we're not." IF NU finishes 6-6 that means we will have come down the stretch at 1-5. Does that look familiar?
