With my work load slightly less these days I figure it's time to start posting again (I think Jimmy Chitwood said something like this).
Regardless, here's some thoughts on random games this week and I promise no bias (ok, that's a lie)...
Tonight:
D6: Southwest over South Platte...Billeter kid is gooooood!
Friday:
B: Scottsbluff over Seward...go easy on my Bluejays, Coach Hall.
C1: Pierce over Ft. Calhoun...#PiercePower
C2: Hartington Cedar Catholic over Tekamah-Herman...really going out on a limb here but hey my step son plays so go Cedar!
D1: Crofton over Bloomfield...literally just flipped a Hard Rock casino chip for this one.
Arapahoe over Southern Valley...someone has to win and I'm going with the guy who takes THE BEST school photo every year.
Clarkson Leigh over Twin River...how can you bet against a team that has Ben Tasa (aka the other half of the 2nd place team at the 2025 Hartington Invite) on staff?
Hartington Newcastle over Niobrara/ Verdigre...speaking of staffs, how about one that has three with head coaching experience and another with 30 years as an assistant!?
D2: Central Valley over Anselmo Merna...Chip Bartos cracked a beer during my wedding vows in my living room (Covid wedding, long story). He cracks AM this week.
Lawrence Nelson over BDS...speaking of said Covid wedding, the man who officiated that day? You already know, Rev Blev a game closer to win no. 100.
D6: Red Cloud over Sterling...Jason Heldt literally doesn't age and for that reason, I go with the Warriors!
Bonus Game: Nebraska vs. Michigan...If I was a gambling man...and I am...give me GBR +2.5
