Just as a reminder , the US is just one of over 170 countries in the world that live in freedom. What sets us apart, among other things, is that we are the financial center of the world, at least for now. Character and decency is a totally different discussion. If the left was as hell bent as you say on moving to communism/socialism....why was Bernie Sanders rejected by the democratic party resoundingly in two straight election cycles?? They already start each session with the Pledge of Allegiance. It is unnecessary to repeat it in every Judiciary committee meeting again.

I get what you are saying but as long as it is not compulsory I have no problem with the Pledge. We start every day in my school with it. I ALWAYS participate as an example of patriotism for my students. That said, I don't force them to participate. That would be more like North Korea than the USA.

The kooky far right uses abortion and scare tactics to keep the Republican base shaking in their boots and scared out of their minds every day that the Dems are coming for their guns, their church and their children.
NONE of that is going to happen.
Taxes may go up some for the wealthy, more immigrants might be accepted in, alternative sources of energy may get more tax dollars which might impact gas prices and the minimum wage may rise leading to a slight increase in the cost of fast food and groceries.
Other than that, I doubt you will see much else change.
You might even enjoy a break from the conspiracy theories, lies, non-stop anger baiting and tweets.
