Eight of Rivals top 20 are still uncommitted and we are in the running for all but one or two.

In everyone's opinion...who all do you think we can get? And who do you think we most likely end up with?

If we do lose 7, we'll need a lot more than that.

Think we can steal either Maker or Diallo, but not both. Also would like to get Jaylen Brown but think UCLA gets him.

There is no question, the potential is there for it. 8 of the top 15-20 recruits remain uncommitted. 9 if you count Thon Maker. And the way these recruits have been wanting to play with each other makes it even more likely. We really could have a monster class if 7 guys leave. Even if 6 leave, this class could still be epic. The 3 we've already signed are pretty darn good. Add 3 or 4 more from the top 20 and it's another coup, an all-time best recruiting class according to the rankings.

Of course, you know what they say... a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Will these recruits be able to come in and perform at a level close to what we'd be losing. That would be a worthwhile discussion for sure.

I'm still hoping, even if Dakari leaves, that Booker will stay. Even if both go, though, the cupboard isn't totally bare. Ulis is going to be a great start to ANY team. Lee is going to be a junior. I'm expecting Poythress will be back as a senior. We'll still have Willis and Hawkins as well. That's a starting 5 right there. Add in Labissiere, Briscoe, and Matthews. And now we'd be looking at a few others, perhaps Newman, Zimmerman, maybe Maker, maybe Diallo, maybe Jaylen Brown on the wing. Boy, I'd love that!

It could be a class for the ages, no joke.

I disagree. Cal will likely return to a 7-8 man rotation like he has every year except the past year. So, if we only get Newman and Zimmerman it would look like:

Ulis
Briscoe
Newman
Matthews
Skal
Poythress
Lee
Zimmerman

That's 8 players with reserves of Hawkins and Willis.

Having said that, I think Cal will try to land one more. Maker or Diallo would be the best bests IMO.

I trust Cal will only reload and be right back in the mix for another championship run... I wish all who goes the best of luck and I will always look back at this team of how awesome they were on and off the court.

Newman and Brown won't be playing together . I read they didn't really get along the week of the Mcd AA event

Lookit!! SEVEN players, one team, going pro or declaring in the same damn year! Insane. If you're a recruit and want to get to the promised land, whose your messiah? Case closed.

I think the most likely is newman, diallo/Zimmerman and Ingram.

Let's not kid ourselves. If 7 or 8 go pro from this team after we were the story for all but 1 day of the past season, we're gonna get a good haul. IMO, well only be competing with duke.

I think we land 2 more ... Newman and Zimmerman.

The others are pretty big longshots, but I guess you never know with Cal.

After 6 years I don't understand why anyone would question Coach Cal on the Recruiting front. We already have 3 top players in Briscoe, Skai, and Matthews. Everyone that talks about Briscoe on the Media front loves this kid and his play. Then you have Labissiere that everyone right now is saying he is looking great at the Nike Summit. Then you have Matthews and I watched him 3 or 4 times and the kid has a great overall game in shooting the mid-range jumper and 3 point shot and he also is good at driving too the basket and finishing. He will be the surprise in this recruiting class. We know there are 10 boys out there right now in the top 20 that have been waiting for these decisions on who is staying and going. This is the most boys at this time that are still uncommitted and that is in the Top 20 5 Star players. We know that if some of these boys were heading elsewhere other than Kentucky, Duke, and maybe Kansas they would have already committed to that team to play for next year. It doesn't take alot to figure this out that players like Newman, Diallo, Zimm, Brown, Maker, and a couple of more players. They wouldn't have waited this long to make a decision if they wasn't going to a Kentucky, Duke, or Kansas. Most of the Boys left had Kentucky at the top of their list. If we lose like we all knew in the first place between 5-7 players then I am sure Cal will go and get 3 or 4 of these players left to commit. There is where Cal is at his best recruiting! The Dominoes will start to fall and pieces will fall into place.

Hope he finds a shooter or two to add to your list as I don't see much in the way of outside shooters in the group you have listed. Briscoe, Matthews, and Newman aren't known for their deep shots from 3 and Ulis can't be our only threat from out there or we're in trouble in that aspect of the game.

You really think so? You don't think Ulis, Briscoe, Newman, Matthews, Hawkins, Poythress, Lee, Labissierre, and Zimmerman are enough?

Disagree. Booker was cold throughout the end of the season. He can be replaced with a shooter that can defend.

We urgently need another big, a scoring wing and a dead eye guard.
Zimmerman, Ingram and Newman would be my ideal three.
That gives us four excellent guards: Ulis, Briscoe, Newman and Hawkins
four balanced wings in Ingram, Mathews, Poythress and Willis
and three bigs in big Z ,Skal and Lee
most imporetantly, we have some shooters (Ulis/Newman/Ingram/Skal and big Z

I've copied and pasted the above post in an email to Cal. Should be getting a response soon.

Round out the class with Zimmerman, Newman, Ingram.

G - Ulis, Briscoe
G - Newman, Matthews
F - Ingram
F - Skal, Poythress
F - Zimmerman, Lee

Could argue that's as much, if not more, talent as last year.

How would team gel and buy into the system would have to be determined but that's a talented squad.
