If there was any hope he'd get his job back, he killed it by this demand letter. These folks over at UofLOL can't get out of their own way.
I don't think you have your lawyer send this letter if you believe you can get your job back legitimately. Jurich must already know he is toast regardless of what the BOT is saying publicly.

Can you imagine being a UL fan? I mean all kidding and trolling aside , I’d be absolutely embarrassed if this were occurring at UK the last few years. I can’t fathom how any UL fan would be on board with Jurich and Pitino.

Tom and Rick.... presided over what will probably go down as the most corrupt athletic department in NCAA history. And they're fighting for every last taxpayer nickel on the way out the door.

I don't think this is about getting his job back. This is legal maneuvering to negotiate a better settlement. Both letters today from Jurich and Pitino, are just letting the BOT know they are not going away quietly. Even if Jurich were to come back, the work relations would be so bad, he would be totally inept and unable to fullfill his job duties.
I suspect the lawyers are negotiating settlements, while all this public stuff is going on.

If Postel required Jutish to terminate Pitino's employment and he refused to do so, then Jurich should have been terminated for insubordination to his boss
The hits just keep on coming! I can't tell which is more corrupt and narcissistic, Rick or Tommy. This is the letter of a man who knows he's absolutely toast but he's grasping at anything to attempt to get that job. Hey, I guess it's worth a shot. These people let him keep his job through Sypher, through Petrino's failings, and through stripper gate. Why not proof of a recruit being paid 100grand? He has owned them to this point. Gotta worth a shot, right?

He's just doing this to help him with his next job I assume. This guy is an a-hole. I've got connection with the Jurich and Pitino family and there is so much crap people don't even know. Hell, Jurich started his career here and immediately got himself into a sexual discrimination "issue" that only went away with a six figure settlement to keep it out of the news. She is a friend of mine. I would love to tell details but it's not supposed to be out there. I haven't mentioned it in almost 20 years. But he is as big of a creep as he looks. Then his son, oh boy, the apple didn't fall far from the tree. He's like the Don of a crime family. No telling what he has on the board members.
It's ironic to me that U of L has found a way to make the city and the Commonwealth look supremely backward and corrupt, while their alumni (true and TARC) have spent decades trying to cast the rest of the Commonwealth as a bunch of hillbillies. THEY are the real embarrassment. But then, we always knew this day would come. Their distinguished alumni continue to throw gasoline on the bonfire even tonight. Amazing. "We Want Tom" ??? Why, why, why?
They(Jurich and Pitino) have NEVER had to play by the same rules as everyone else. So the word NO has rarely been a part of their vocabulary when dealing with the UofL administration.

Now now #BBN, this is all due to the UK politicians in Frankfort. And their new interim AD, who went to UK just proves it.
UL is slowly and very publicly circling the bowl. Lawsuits, investigations, power plays, interim titles, etc. are wearing down a frustrated and angry fanbase. Pitino and Jurich are about to make sure any possible feel good story about Padgett and the basketball team will always be overshadowed by a mention of pending litigation and NCAA sanctions.
These things won't be resolved quickly. This isn't the same board that gave Ramsey and Jurich free reign to do what they wanted. I know one of UL's BOT members well enough to know he thinks he's smarter and a bigger badass than Jurich and is licking his chops at the chance to prove it. He is more than looking forward to fighting Pitino and Jurich if they want it. Enjoy the show, fellow Cat fans, this is just getting started.
