I will be unavailable to cover this tournament but quick glance shows Kaid Brock lost his first round match to Timothy Lambert of Nebraska wrestling training 10-8 on a late takedown. The match was tied 8-8 with 31 seconds left but Brock was leading by virtue of a 4 point move when he was taken down. Eli Hale had a tech fall 13-3 over Johnson Mai NYCRTC. Mark Hall of Minnesota lost a close match to Mitch Sliga.

These are the Junior world team trials. At 74kg we had two entrants and in a first round match Chandler Rogers dec. Ryan Blees 6-4, Zac Beard is also at this weight but was dec. 15-6 by Garrett Hammond of the Nittany Lion WC. Isaiah Martinez of TMWC/RTC is the top seed at this weight and Logan Massa of Cliff Keen wrestling club is the #2 seed. There are 15 wrestlers at this weight including Bryce Brill who will meet Chandler Rogers in a 2nd round match. There are only 7 wrestlers in the 55 kg bracket and Thomas Gilman of Hawkeye wrestling is the #1 seed and Steven Micic is #2 seed. Gilman will meet Lambert in the second round and Hale wrestles the winner of Micic and Darian Cruz match in the semis.

Last post as I have to leave but Timothy Lambert who dec. Brock was the 125 pound starter for Nebraska this year as a redshirt freshman and had a 24-13 record and 9-5 in duals.Notable matches include two losses to Tyler Cox of Wyoming 3-4 and 1-3 sv. He lost to Thomas Gilman of Iowa 1-2 and lost to National champion Delgado 1-3 O.T. He dec. Stainbrook of West Virginia 4-1, Dec. Evan Silver 6-1 and biggest win was over Nathan Kraisser of North Carolina 6-5.

Brock faces Lambert again for 3rd place. Rogers wrestles Kingsley for 3rd place. Martinez won this weight over Logan Massa 10-0 tf.

Kade Brock wins true second with Inj. Def. over Micic and Chandler Rogers loses to Logan Massa 6-9 after being ahead 5-1 in first when suddenly track wrestling showed the score jump from 5-1 to 5-7 so must have been takedown and then two gut wrenches or leg laces for 4 more points. Scoring was 5-7 after one and ended up 6-9.

You guys have two 3rd place "champions"?

Oberebo never said the above. Technically, when they wrestle for true third there is a "Champion" however another way to say that less euphemistically is "loser". Not a knock on Perry and/or Foster but neither was first or second.
