He CAN play, itll just swell up. But for a ONE game? Yes he can. Absolutely.
His dad came out the same week that he was injured again and said that he didn't like the way that JQ was being used. Maybe it was bad timing and just a coincidence, but it certainly didn't help. That's the last point of the season that he played. You're the one who isn't smart dude. Go up and tell him to his face he is faking and he would break your beak lol
Many of the same folks who make that claim forget that we lost to a West Virginia team that was playing without their point guard in 2010. Think about that. John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and the rest of their number one seed roster lost to a team without its point guard. But of JQ comes back, and with Kam back now, we could not push the narrative of us sucking due to being down three “starters”.
You say he quit. Prove it.I want a coach who isn't afraid to cut bait and go public on quitters. Years and years ago this wouldn't have been tolerated.
He played 1 game for KY while healthy. He was amazing that game. Settle downJQ absolutely sucks ***, let’s dispense with the pleasantries, he’s brutally overrated, if coming back, zero impact just trying to show out for the draft.
Joe Mazulla (current Celtics coach) was WVa’s PG. As a redshirt junior, Mazzulla was named a captain and helped West Virginia reach the 2010 FF where the Mountaineers lost to eventual champion Duke In the game prior, he scored a then-career-high 17 points in the Elite Eight upset of KentuckyMany of the same folks who make that claim forget that we lost to a West Virginia team that was playing without their point guard in 2010. One of Cal’s finest moments. Many of the same folks who make that claim forget that we lost to a West Virginia team that was playing without their point guard in 2010. Think about that. John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and the rest of their number one seed roster lost to a team without its point guard.
Daddy says for another million he will go through warm up drills.ESPN list his expected return as 3/18.![]()
Because it was posted as news on tournament coverage information. And this a Kentucky basketball site. If u don't like it, then don't click the headline.Stupid thread. Why even post this garbage? Let’s worry about who is playing and leave the rest out. We’ve beat this dead horse enough guys.
Yep, it's been a big secret up until now. JQ has been working out in practice with the team and he is DOMINANT. Pope is installing the double secret probation "Fast Paste Offense" and SGA is coming back for his last 4 years of eligibility. I AM STOKED!!!!ESPN list his expected return as 3/18.![]()
It has been confirmed multiple times by KSR that JQ passed his strength test, which is what he needed to do to return to practice. He is still not at practice. So either he quit, or he’s being held out by his camp. Either way, it makes little difference; he’s going to collect his $2M paycheck and never wear blue and white againYou say he quit. Prove it.
He played but with a broken hand if I recall correctly. Cal never pressured the ball coming up the court until we were down 16 points with 7 minutes to go. Just let em walk up and get into their offense. Cal truly sucked at actual coaching. Many of the same folks who make that claim forget that we lost to a West Virginia team that was playing without their point guard in 2010. Think about that. John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and the rest of their number one seed roster lost to a team without its point guard.
When was the last time JQ played a game? There’s your proof. You say he quit. Prove it.
I’ve watched a bunch of old games lately. Even suffered through that one. lol. If there was something wrong with Mazulla’s hand, it sure didn’t show.He played but with a broken hand if I recall correctly. Cal never pressured the ball coming up the court until we were down 16 points with 7 minutes to go. Just let em walk up and get into their offense. Cal truly sucked at actual coaching.
The last person to listen to when playing time is discussed is a parent.............Let’s just ignore that his dad was very unhappy with Pope and blaming him for his kids poor play Directly BEFORE he went back and sat out. Let’s just pretend that’s not a thing.
So you are going to overlook the fact that he's being out for several weeks not practicing.........let him sit the rest of this season.......at this point he would just be a disruption to the team.....But of JQ comes back, and with Kam back now, we could not push the narrative of us sucking due to being down three “starters”.
What kind of proof do you want............how many minutes has he played? You say he quit. Prove it.
unequivocal proof that he quit on the team and he is not in fact still hamstrung by injury. HIs draft stock has actually tanked since he took to the bench so playing would be the only way to raise his profile. His father also angrily refuted the notion that JQ sat out to protect his draft stock. Why is no one willing to accept that it is quite possible and perhaps likely that JQ rushed back to quickly to begin with and thus aggravated his injury? Sharpe has everyone gun shy and paranoid. What kind of proof do you want............how many minutes has he played?
I am not overlooking that at all. I was obviously being a little satirical in my comment. Just tired of the speculation and excuses. Those that can, lace them up and play.So you are going to overlook the fact that he's being out for several weeks not practicing.........let him sit the rest of this season.......at this point he would just be a disruption to the team.....
Their starting point guard did get hurt before the game with UK but Mazulla had started taking his minutes from him towards the end of the year before the injury happened. Many of the same folks who make that claim forget that we lost to a West Virginia team that was playing without their point guard in 2010. Think about that. John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and the rest of their number one seed roster lost to a team without its point guard.
"hurt"Jarred Vanderbilt was hurt. Shaedon Sharpe was not.
I was talking to my grandson who lives in Michigan the other day about trying to catch a game when he comes down in a few weeks...........He went to UK before moving to Grand Rapids.............Nothing like a baseball game to catch up with distant family............I have two great grandsons who need to be indoctrinated into the BBN!I am not overlooking that at all. I was obviously being a little satirical in my comment. Just tired of the speculation and excuses. Those that can, lace them up and play.
It's BatCat season now anyhow!
Kind of like liquidated damages in a contract........only you get penalized for every game that you, "choose" to not play........they should have base contracts with performance clauses....merit based pay if you will.....they need a little push to do their very best.......not just spending a year before going to the NBA.....Paid $2M to be a student. How do you combat this Issue? No HS Prospect would come if we put playing incentives into our contracts. NCAA needs to address.
He didn’t play until February his rookie year with the Lakers. I do believe some guys actually do get hurt."hurt"
