Positionless basketball. They are all big guards. Play Christopher at the 1, Green at the 2, and Boston at the 3.

If Clarke reclassifies, play small ball and throw him in at the 4.

G Christopher
G Green
G Boston
G Clarke
F Todd

That team looks unguardable. Might struggle with rebounding, but would probably score 100 a game. LOL!

Except Christopher is not a point guard and doesn't have true point guard skills.

Actually he will be a pg in the NBA . I do agree I doubt he starts at pg here but in terms of long term potential he is a pg . Only way Christopher starts at pg here is if Cooper , Cunningham and Nix all go elsewhere . I kinda doubt that happens but who knows .

If NR and EJ leave we will have. O front line. Bigs ought to be lining up. Maker. Omuryi, Todd and the list goes on. Kuminga could reclass and come in and start. Who are some other bigs we are after?
Todd , Cliff , Maker are 3 who have UK in their top 2 it seems like . Suspect we get Todd and Cliff but who knows . Cal knows what he is doing . This class is going to be between 7-9 men deep so we have plenty of room . IMO we will sign 1-2 pg / 2 sg / 1-2 Sf / 2 PF / 1-2 C . Really would like to have 4-5 of this class sign in the fall so we aren't hand wringing in March and April trying to fill out a roster .

You just don't become a point guard in the NBA because you are a tall guard in college. That's not how it works. The kid is a scoring guard, one of the best in his class, he's just not a point guard and won't be a point guard in the NBA.

He can play some PG.

But I actually hope we get Quickley back to play PG.

Agreed. Rather have junior Quickley running point and my biggest concern is that landing both Green and Christopher would basically make Quickley piss off and transfer.

I mean except for Russ Westbrook and Jrue Holiday and Ben Gordon and Jamal Murray and Zach Lavine and Victor Oladipo and...

You have a decent point, but not sure those are great examples.

Westbrook has been a point guard, through and through. The others? Ehhh, sort of, minus Ben Gordon, who was an undersized 2. What's more true today is that the NBA might view a player like Christopher as a "playmaking guard", and fewer and fewer teams are concerned with have 1 traditional point running things. That's the situation guys like Holiday, Murray, and Oladipo are currently in. A lot of offense runs through them, but they also tend to share the floor with another player who handles what used to be the PG responsibilities- Payton last year with Holiday, Collison with Oladipo, and Jokic as point center (with more point responsibility than Murray, really) in Denver.

Cal likes his traditional point man, so doubtful Christopher would be used that way at UK.

Except he does and that’s the plan. Runs point for aau team quite a bit. In today’s game any wing can run point, most sf’s also. And we have cal. Makes things work better than any other coach and it’s not even close

It’s almost nuttier than squirrel **** but I believe he pulls of all 3 and Clarke stays 2021.
That’s exactly where my thoughts are leaning too. I think Cal has had enough success playing guys that are supposed to be the same position (Ulis/Murray/Briscoe, Knox/Gabriel/PJ/Vanderbilt) that he can sell all three on playing together. And they all seem really high on Kentucky. Trying not to count my chickens but I think it’s gonna happen.
