The newest target for the Cats is the No. 1 ranked shooting guard (according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings) — Joshua Christopher.

The California native put on a show at Peach Jam last week, averaging 20.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists over five games in front of Kentucky coaches John Calipari and Joel Justus.

I wonder if cal is going to try and land all 3? (Christopher, green and Boston). I read where Christopher can also play the point and doesn’t mind it either. Could you imagine that backcourt? This class is loaded at guard.

Josh Christopher is on the list behind Brandon Boston and Terrance Clarke, especially long as Cal is in play for those two..

Anyone else feel like it's coming around for us? What I mean as kids watching college BB most kids probably don't get really into it until 10-12 years old. Fans sure, but really know everything going on and follow teams and March Madness. So we are right around those kids that would have grown up watching AD and the cats go on that tear in 2012. Probably kids for the next 3-4 years. Maybe that's why we are hearing so many dream schools and wore UK gear. Maybe it starts paying off with recruits. Just a thought.

Man, I honestly can't keep up. The '20 class and '21 class have me all discombobulated.....

Alot of kids grew up liking Kentucky that does not go there, always something else stirring a kids recruitment like with Jalen Johnson, who like Ralph said in another post, actually hates Duke.. Cal has always been able to hand pick who he wants, even in his lack of getting top 5 players.. Alot of the times players like the Alexander's and Herro's, end up being better than the Duval and Reddish's of these classes and one has to wander if alot of the times if Cal don't pass on certain players for a lower ranked/better player in his opinion..

He and Jalen Green have a lot of respect for each other, and they'd be holy terrors on both ends if they played together.

Christopher's ability to play the point some also helps alleviate the potential log jam if we were to get 3 of the Clarke, Green, Christopher, Boston foursome.

Christopher reminds me of a more athletic, higher ceiling Isaiah Briscoe at the same stage.

Christopher and Green could both play some 3 if needed. Both rugged and good defenders.

“I’ve worn Kentucky hoodies and stuff like that since I was in elementary school, early middle school,” he told KSR. “Of course, my recruitment, I have to calm down with the college clothing I put on. But I’m a fan of Kentucky, so we’ll see what happens when it comes to making my decision for college.”

I've got a feeling he means it on the same level as Whitney does.

Jalen Johnson and McDaniels probably remember UK during the Davis era as kids, but they ceased to be true UK fans long ago.

I could see UK landing two of them. No way in hell we'd land all three.

Pilgrim is fishing for optimistic clicks/follows the same way Tucker did this spring when he said UK was in a good spot to land Juzang, McDaniels, and Blackshear.

the fact that green and Christopher both have offers is intriguing to say the least because they have been pals since playing together starting from the 7th grade and the dads are best friends and would love those two kids playing together no matter where it ends up
If they both play somewhere together, it’s gonna be UK. Christopher is in love with Kentuckt

All 3 would be unreal, maybe the best backcourt in the cal era (potentially). Christopher reminds me of hami a little with the similar build, strong, super athletic, huge legs. But he has a little better ball skills than hami.

Man I’d get the two Californians and call it a day.

If Clarke can fanagle a reclass then obv him too but they seem a cut above Boston athletically and they all can shoot pretty decent so shouldn’t be much drop off.

Supposedly, we’re leading for all three and all three being sold on playing together! Christopher at PG, Green at SG, and Boston at SF!
I admittedly haven’t seen too terribly much video of Christopher. But he averaged 5.2 assists per game in his junior hs season and the same in the EYBL season. That seems very point guard-like. Those 3 guys at the 1-3 would be frickin FIIIIILLLLLTTTHHHHYYYYY.

Man sounds like Christopher is lovin some BBN . Come on down ! IMO we have a great shot at getting 3 of the 5 best players in the country in Green , Boston and Christopher . Cunningham will go elsewhere and who knows with Maker . At least those are the 5 best IMO .

I think we get Christopher first, then Boston, and maybe sneak green in

If we landed everyone Rupp’s Rafters thought we were going to land we’d have 74 players on our roster.
and you'd still have posters saying "if we had only landed _________ we would've had a complete team...15 deep at every position"

If NR and EJ leave we will have. O front line. Bigs ought to be lining up. Maker. Omuryi, Todd and the list goes on. Kuminga could reclass and come in and start. Who are some other bigs we are after?
