Yes! Really wanted this kid. Awesome. Great shooting touch. This is not sour grapes but I wanted him more than Knox. :)

You guys weren't involved with him before Knox. So sort of odd to say. But Knox has a lot to improve on I wasn't impressed a lot in the all star games. But glad UK got him.

Great get, especially this late! Really like his handle and confidence, and add to that his eagerness to be at Duke, can't be anything but a winning combination!
Welcome to Duke young man.
Go Duke!

Never really thought Knox was coming to Duke. This kid, Delaurier, O'Connell, Goldwire and White seem like building blocks future program stability with kids to grow with program. Not having any upperclassmen to lean on has really hurt the last couple of year. Duke will still get plenty of one and dones along the way hopefully Duval being the next one. I think struck gold this off season by potentially signing 2 diamonds in the rough with O'Connell and Tucker who have future star potential with great skill sets. The just lack physical strength and maybe speed.

I agree, building blocks for the future as long as all four are ok w limited to no pt this season and for a few next as well. Really happy we have a group that I can watch develop over the next 4 years.

The reason I like these last two pickups are because both players are underdogs. People don't expect them to shine at Duke. Both will play with a chip on their shoulder. Let's just pray Coach K doesn't see this guy as a 4. Let the bigs handle the paint please

Sounded like duke kept in contact with him in case Knox or others didn't come along. Knox is for sure the better talent. But I think most duke fans feel we needed another 4 year guy in this class.

I'll take a kid with a little less talent that is dying to be a Devil over one that's not sure where he really wants to be. I love the kids that play with a chip on their shoulders and feel like they have something to prove!

Duke had been involved with Tucker for a while, and he knew he was a backup plan to Knox. That said, had Knox went Duke the Tucker train would have sailed. But make no mistake, there had been contact prior to last Saturday.

And how awesome must it be to get to live out that dream???!!
Exactly! If it meant giving up Knox who let's face it was considering us just to come for one year and bolt to the NBA, and having Tucker, who truly wants to be here and play for the name on the front of the Jersey and valuable to us for more than one year, then I'll take Tucker over Knox any day of the week

The thing is, Duke's football team gets a 4 star, and it's reason for celebration! Why can't the basketball team feel the same way? I'm gratified to have him at Duke!

I'm telling ya Pisgah, but for some reason, I believe in this kid. Four star or not, I think this dude is gonna be special to Duke! We shall see.

Yep. A lot of kids dream of duke few get to do it.. the ones that always dream of it are some of our more special players too. Grayson, Scheyer, JJ just to name a few

dont get me wrong I think he will be a good four year player for you guys, but you can't honestly say he is or will be better than Knox. Had Knox not chose uk and went to duke you would be saying Jordan who? I'm not saying Knox is the next Kevin Durant nor am I saying tucker won't be a sold contributor but to say he's better than Knox sight unseen is crazy. On a side note, wasn't he favored to go to Indiana till they creaned clappy?

Can we please stop with the Tucker is better than Knox stuff? We just got rid of most of the Kentucky whackos, do we really need to call them back?

I'm not trolling and you seem sensible enough to realize that tucker might not be exactly as polished as Knox will be coming into college like I said, I think he will be a good player similar to Matt jones but it will take him a yr or two
