It's hard for a point guard to make something happen when you aren't getting any movement out of the other 4 players. That has improved after the dismissal as well. If they play better as a team they will have better personal stats.
Well stated. With McCabe, if one of the bigs makes an open cut to the basket he is likely to get an on target 50 mph no look pass that will embarrass him if he doesn't catch it and score. McCabe's top 10 plays, check out numbers 6, 3, 2 and 1. Those four would be dunks by Culver. You can't teach that.
Oh, yeah. Just to clarify, if McCabe doesn't continue to play like he is capable of I don't give a damn if Huggs benches or gets rid of him!
McCabe has come a long way since the first game. Definitely a different player since he became the main guy and different since the two clowns left. I wish we started the season with this lineup.
Actually McCabe was the Big 12 newcomer of the week, not the player of the week. That honor went to Jase Febres of Texas. But it's still quite an honor for my man Jordan......
Good job for his first honor. I can see why Jase was Big 12 player of week as he had 15 3's in 2 games.
This can't be right... surely the Big 12 meant to award Knapper. He would have had 80 points in regulation against TCU with all of those minutes.

I hear Dobbs may take preferred walk on spot. He will get promise scholarship anyway and only lives 15 minutes from WVU campus. He might as well. I hear he wants to stay close to home and thinks he can play and earn scholarship at WVU. He’s confident he will beat out some guys. He knows Horton is owning these guys in practice and has a bright future here. Why not? Horton will play bigger minutes next year. He’s going to be good.
Dobbs has several lower D1 offers but wants to play at WVU. His D1 offer list will grow even more after season. He will play at WVU in year 2. Huggins should redshirt him and develop him. He’s going to be very good. Marshall is showing bigger interest and probably will offer Dobbs soon. They wanted Bridges and made him a priority but he isn’t going there. Now they are turning to Dobbs. A prep year would be good as well for Dobbs.
Metheny should walk on at WVU in 2 years. He’s the best 5-9 guard in the east. He’s really talented. Go see him play. He’s a rich kid that already lives in Morgantown and has top grades. He should walk on. He has several D1 offers already. That list will keep growing.

Kid has great work ethic along with skills. If he keeps working like he does, the sky is the limit.

What? Dude get a clue. There are several players in WV worth a WVU scholarship. We know you hate WV and don't live in WV. Have you seen Huggins horrible out of state recruiting mostly year to year. It’s suspect. He recruits out of state losers too often that should be D2.
Some of you, we know are not fans of WVU. Probably from Marshall or Pitt. Go back to your own boards and quit making idiots of yourselves, your not fooling anyone. McCabe probably has as much or more upside than any player on the team. He just needs to play and work through the Freshman mistakes. Now be good LITTLE boys and go back to your little play houses.
Gonna be hard to chase those guys away. They leave MU and Pitt boards to visit the big time program. Helps them forget MU and UP.
