So if everyone sucks and our record sucks we can retain. But if players do well we lose any good performers and being worse the next year is assured?I just listened to the podcast again and feel like it’s unlikely we keep anyone beyond Dylan and dortch
They only said 100 times we can’t afford any path really… and the biggest takeaway I got the second time around is that retaining costs $$$ that we won’t have either if any of these freshmen pan out
We can’t afford to keep the good ones why isn’t anyone understanding that it’s being spelled out everywhereSo if everyone sucks and our record sucks we can retain. But if players do well we lose any good performers and being worse the next year is assured?
He's also most overwhelmed player on the court.Interesting. The one guy we brought in for multiple years is the first gone.
I only mean to reiterate with my questions, looking for confirmation. I appreciate and agree with your analysis. NIL is not only the death of Cinderella, the low and mid majors. It’s also the death of the lower power conf teams. We can’t afford to keep the good ones why isn’t anyone understanding that it’s being spelled out everywhere
And we don’t have a coach with enough of an eye for talent in the Portal or enough of a killer instinct dog mentality to do anything about it
I have no real problem with it, he's just the one I was pretty sure was stayingHe's also most overwhelmed player on the court.
He needs to move down a level.
that's fair.I have no real problem with it, he's just the one I was pretty sure was staying
36.3% shooting (45-124)
25% from 3 (11-44)
42.5% from 2 (34-80)
5th in total points
6th most minutes played
This is ok---Dylan Dortch Ogbole and Jmike would be my preference to stay
JMike really improved this season and became a pretty good shooter in big spots. I hope he stays.JMike is critical now. He gets a lot of **** on here, but I like his tenacity and think he’ll be a valuable 1 and upperclassmen leader.

Absolutely agree but not an undersized guard who can not shoot , create shots for others, and gets bullied on Defense. Love him but he is not a power 4 playerHe defends well and has decent handles. As we learned this season, continuity matters. He’ll be 3 years in the system and you need a leader on the court.
We’ll have a whole new coaching staff in that time.He defends well and has decent handles. As we learned this season, continuity matters. He’ll be 3 years in the system and you need a leader on the court.
