Ahhh, such is the world we live in regarding college football recruiting.

Well, appreciated your "cup o' coffee" as a Knight, Jonathan, but don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out. (Then again, if it does, that would be just fine too.) -And Mr. Darrington, you'd look great in SCARLET!

Awesome! And so it begins. Barkley redux? This staff needs to start showing it knows what it is doing. It also has to start winning winnable Big 10 games. We run the risk of having no running backs in the next class right now. Taylor sounds like a big loss to this class.

As I stated in the other thread this guy has been stringing us along since the spring. I'm glad he finally made official what we all knew for a while. Now we can move on to people who really want to be here.

From what information is out there it seems like there's only one other potential decommit. Replace them with Darrington and keep rolling.

Clearly he did otherwise he wouldn't have committed in the first place. This is a big loss for us, kid is a beast. Having an attitude like that isn't gonna help get him back.
See above. He just wanted to hold a spot until something better came along. He's not thinking about us any more, let's move on.

In this case, there's virtually no chance of him coming back...no matter what's said on here.

And yes, he committed to us at one point, but never really seemed solid from the start. And deep down, apparently Wisconsin was the school he's always wanted. (Or was the one the people around him wanted him to attend. -Or both.) So once that offer was on the table for him, it essentially was only a matter of time.

People like that who don't thing of others are immature, selfish and self-serving. Like he used Rutgers until something better came along hopefully he gets a taste of his own medicine. Sorry but it's just not him-others (perhaps someone really needy who wanted to attend RU doesn't get to because of his selfish actions) base their decisions on what others do. Who knows?-maybe we lost another 4-5 star who didn't want to compete with him.

He wants to follow his girlfriend to PSU.

Yeah and when she gets mad and stops putting out-or they break up-his mind is distracted and his performance suffers. I bELieve I really saw this with my own friends on the Rutgers team who had better junior than senior years. If he wanted to be with the girlfriend should have committed to Penn State to begin with.

Better he does it early. Don't know why there's animosity. He liked the school originally and changed his mind. Best to announce now than pull a douche move by decommitting late.

Ask Tom Savage how that worked out for him.

When you look for a school or a job or a wife or a car don't you want one that suits what you want ?Upon further review we are not what he wants . Wisconsin is running back U. We have not earned the right to disparage any recruits or any other programs. I don't like it but god dammit we have done it to ourselves.

See my postings above. It DOES have ramifications. His perhaps wanting to get l*id (or maybe Sanduskyed) makes it look like he has no confidence in Ash and staff. Could create a domino effect. Enough sad. Don't care he's 18. Next year he's expected to both attend and pass classes while travellng away from school. Sorry when I see this from him can only think of the "name" of one rap group...

Don't know (TOM had such drama) whether this is a pro or anti me comment. Tom/Toms fathers impatience-or lack of foresight-caused Tom a lot of aggrevation (in part due to bad luck). He is playing pro, though, correct?

Rutgers is once again the safety school of Jersey recruits.

RU is the safety school of a lot of New Jerseans period-in large part due to many BAD sp[orts and non sports hires over the years. Hopefully the current students have such a good experience with all of the great new recent facilities that they have a great quality of life at RU, have professional success and stay involved/give back as alumni.

He should be starting shortly and would have secured QB1 last year had he not got hurt IMO.

I was agreeing with you. Tom is in the pros but isn't really playing. Had he stayed at RU I have to believe he would've ended up a much higher draft pick.
