He said how coaches talk to the players is everything and if the coaches aren't leading with authenticity, they are leading the team down a sideways path. Things weren't genuine and over time those things stack up. Coaches are there to lead the team on a path, not off the path. Jojo would have to translate, but I assume some players were told one thing and others another.
Maybe Rhule has been giving us BS, but he has indicated he uses frank and honest communication with the players.

Things may be better next season simply because the coaching staff cares to make sure things are properly organized and that they are straight with the kids on the roster.

Pretty clear that Frost didn’t have P5 level coaching chops and rather than working on that problem, he created other problems.

This is how I interpreted it as well. If he meant that the coaches were habitual liars and misled players through deceptive communications I think he would have said so. I think by "authentic" he meant exactly what you say here. That the coaches demanded hard work, attention to detail, and total dedication from the players, but showed none of those qualities themselves. And it all started with Frost who was, apparently, too drunk to give a **** most of the time.

Tried warning people, and the frosturbators wouldn’t listen. Now the program has been drug down to the depths moos, frost, and Davison insisted on. This is nothing new

My take on it is that there are a number of instances coming from a variety of angles. Just a guess, but one example of authenticity could be telling the kids that there is a hard line when it comes to rules and expectations and at the same time recruiting Maurice Washington and giving him chance after chance while playing him all the while.

It’s kind of hard to relate lack of authenticity with someone who reportedly doesn’t give a fheck based on actions and demeanor. From what I’ve read Frost, Bo and Riley seem more genuine than most coaches.

Only speculation, but I also wonder about all the “we’re family” talk, and the effort put into forging genuine, sincere relationships with players.

That’s an easy topic to imagine all coaches talk about, but only some back it up 100%.

I’m sure a few coaches did better than others in that department.

Bo (I know just typing his name will freak out a few) probably had the best relationships with players that we have seen. His teams loved him, even when they got mad at him.

Frost was obviously a huge failure as head coach in Lincoln. Too bad for us fans but for him, he at least made a financial fortune while failing in a huge way.
