What was up with the play on Saturday when Illinois snapped the ball, their line didn't move, the QB rolled out left, and Jo Jo smacked him? What that supposed to be a trick play? Did the line not have the snap count? Jo Jo brought the wood!
I tried to figure that one out and I’m still not sure. I thought some sort of trick play with the way their line stayed in place through the play. I know one of our defensive linemen jumped and then they snapped the ball but the center stayed in place too. I really don’t know what it was all about.

Wait about five or six hours, it’s early yetWhere is @SoFL Husker with the Jimi Hendrix clip?
Nebraska had someone in the neutral zone, and the Center snapped the ball. The line judge missed it, and he didn't blow the whistle to stop the play.
I don't know that he ever got into the neutral zone. He flinched but I don't think he went off sides.

One angle showed Jo Jo hardly touched the guy.
Yeah didn't look like it took much to bring him down. One angle showed Jo Jo hardly touched the guy.
It was a trick play. The center snapped the ball and didn't move. If he had snapped and taken on a block then I could see it being a miscommunication with the rest of the line but there's no way he snaps it and then stays there unless it's a trick. That's the only thing I could think of as well was it was a trick play. I was wondering if they thought they would get the defense to stop playing if they made it look like a false start or something.
