According to antirowboat all you have to do is have running backs actually run behind the olinemen, the tight ends and the wide receivers to be effective. I know it sounds crazy but it just might work.martinez = run/pass qb...
we for sure win 6 games next year just doing this
there's probably alot of pressure at ut..and ut has been lackies considering what they have...I was thinking ut could use urban....they need leadership, and have the bucks, and I could see urban being able to do the stuff a mac brown did.Wow someone's a little mentally unhinged. Never saw how threatening to send plsyers to the transfer portal would be motivating for the group.
Yant is too talented a RB to be a fullback.martinez = run/pass qb...

That's actually one of the very few destinations that might make sense for Meyer. It won't be USC or LSU given the timing. Maybe even back to Florida or Florida St in the next few years.there's probably alot of pressure at ut..and ut has been lackies considering what they have...I was thinking ut could use urban....they need leadership, and have the bucks, and I could see urban being able to do the stuff a mac brown did.
urban with the big 12/sec recruiting, ut's set up and a possible urban/saben match up...would be interesting
that's what I never understood...for every 20 carries the I back had the full back would have 1...if the moon was aligned with mars and neptune......I understand the full back being the bigger guy was usually the blocker..but I always thought they could run them more. and it might mess with the defense more.It wouldn’t be too hard to recruit a fullback if they wanted to go that route. You could easily develop a local kid to fill that role as a walk on.
Nebraska use to have a devastating trap play that involved handing off to the fullback. I think it was effective more because the defenders were rushing to get to the I back, by the time the defenders knew the fullback had the ball he was already 20 yards down field.that's what I never understood...for every 20 carries the I back had the full back would have 1...if the moon was aligned with mars and neptune......I understand the full back being the bigger guy was usually the blocker..but I always thought they could run them more. and it might mess with the defense more.
6 wins?! Do, or do not. There is no 6 wins......martinez = run/pass qb...

we could use ut's rb, in the transfer portal...can their qb throw? a kicker?Wow someone's a little mentally unhinged. Never saw how threatening to send plsyers to the transfer portal would be motivating for the group.
Even if they did want to transfer out, why the hell would any of them want to come here?we could use ut's rb, in the transfer portal...can their qb throw? a kicker?
if you just cry, you never will get anywhere, you have to try. try > cryEven if they did want to transfer out, why the hell would any of them want to come here?
You also have to be realistic and realize that elite talent like Texas's running back has no interest whatsoever in coming here and playing for a loser head coach. If he did want to leave Texas, he'd be going to Alabama or Ohio State. We're not even in the market for a guy like that.if you just cry, you never will get anywhere, you have to try. try > cry
On a 34 Trap the I-back flowed wide right, the right guard took a step to the right and headed up field leaving the tackle to his right momentarily unblocked. That LB on the offense's right side would flow to his left since he was keying on the RB. The center would veer left and jamb the other tackle and the left guard would pull behind the center, and engage the trapped tackle on the right side of the offense. If the tackles and right guard down field cleaned up the traffic at the net level, the play could go for some serious yardage.Nebraska use to have a devastating trap play that involved handing off to the fullback. You know those blocking schemes would not be easy to execute nowadays. You need pretty athletic lineman to pull guard like that. The only lineman we have like that is Jurgens. 6ft 9in lineman really don’t help your run game much.On a 34 Trap the I-back flowed wide right, the right guard took a step to the right and headed up field leaving the tackle to his right momentarily unblocked. It's 99% dead in the NFL.This offense doesn't utilize a fullback.
Face it, the fullback position is one on life support..
Indeed it is. Hell, it won't be long and the I-form will be a thing of the past..It's 99% dead in the NFL.
actually my comment was more directed at what a good talent he is and not so much that he would come to NU, but I can see where you read it differently...carry on with gloom and doomYou also have to be realistic and realize that elite talent like Texas's running back has no interest whatsoever in coming here and playing for a loser head coach. Roger Craig wants to talk to you.....Yant is too talented a RB to be a fullback.
Not really. There's some really good ones in the NFL. Frost uses his TEs in motion in some ways like we used to fullbacks in the I. You give a 250lb TE a running start at the side of a DT or DE and he can do some damage and it's tougher for a LB or DE to see those guys coming at them from the side. I would like to see more heavy sets where in fact we put either a TE or guard in the backfield as a a blocker but it works with the size of a couple of our WRs it could work with 2 TEs and a bigger WR on the wing. This offense doesn't utilize a fullback.

I seen yant get tripped up over a hand off, and dive to the 1 yard line like he seen a mc'rib sandwichRoger Craig wants to talk to you.....
