Johnny Roscoe retires

For a second time and probably a final time Johnny Roscoe retires at Northern Guilford.
Regardless of what you think of him his record speaks for itself. He was a winner, the next coach has some big shoes to fill.

Have to agree CC14. I think this year may have been one of his best coaching jobs. Didn't have the overall talent as previous teams yet still managed to make it to the regional finals.

Brian Hall of WFMY Channel 2 reported it first.
WA86 I agree on that, he took a team that many expected to be a 1st round exit and got them to a regional final and within 2pts of heading to yet another title game.
Four titles at Northern Guilford speaks for itself in my opinion. Not even counting titles he's won in South Carolina and elsewhere.

He was a winner! Give him credit for that no doubt! Class act is something you won't hear mentioned along with him often, but I guess winning is the most important thing. Any idea of possible replacements or is it way too early?

Way too early but I hear they like the DC on staff. I would like to see the Pinecrest HC leave and take over Northern or Grimsley.
