He can throw just fine, don't be an idiot. He's not Corral or even Rogers, but is plenty good to start for many P5 teams.

Did you actually watch Plumlee play QB when given the chance? I'm sure he could hit water if he was throwing off a pier, but expecting anything more than that was fool-hearty. He made Nicky Fitz look like Dan Fouts.

Bo strikes me *** a real dickhead but he has some interesting guests ( to me ) at times. It is nothing more than a constant commercial with a few sports segments for a minute or two. But all those shows are loaded with commercials. I prefer Matt's show myself. And Chuck Oliver is pretty good. He is taking the Gridiron spot.

His version of Mississippi - one where everyone is a pretentious, know-nothing douchebag - is not one we need promoted. That version needs to be hit in the head with a shovel and buried in a swamp somewhere.

That would all be correct with "University of" added in front of Mississippi.

Just listen to the podcasts. They do a good job of filtering out the nonsense.

How do you explain the douche bag image, is that trolling too? You know, the photo in the starched jeans and blazer w/ a shot, the "Yall Lifestyle", the "Rock Star Zinfandel Wines he promoted, Turquoise, Lake Caroline, what are we having for lunch at Char today, etc etc Damn, I'm about to throw up now

the guy is just trying to make a buck. I’d drive the tampax tampon nascar in a heartbeat.. he actually lives a humble life compared to what i had in mind before i met him. His house isn’t in lake Caroline. Its in lake cavalier (not that there is anything wrong with either) and took the time to talk sports with me when he easily could have just said get back to work. Like, honestly, all of that is a gimmick and/or pandering. You dont have to listen to his show but let’s not get personal.

He had one long catch on a wheel route in the bowl game and all of the sudden they were hyping him up as a future NFL WR. Some had him stepping in and replacing Moore with minimal drop off.

His stat line through four games: 2 catches, 16 yards. Zero catches since Week 1.

We are just saving him for a big moment!***

As a QB he's fast and slippery but can't throw it worth a lick.

As a WR his athleticism doesn't stand out as much, he's undersized, and has average hands.

As a baseball player he's mediocre offensively and defensively.

I'm surprised Ole Miss isn't campaigning for him to win the Heisman.

That’s next year

I think you’re right. But I don’t really know. Rich Rod never actually let him throw much. Which maybe tells us something, but I don’t think so.. RR was incompetent. If you go back to that 2019 Egg Bowl, the drive he actually let him throw it, was his best drive.

I don’t think JRP can hold Corral’s jock strap in terms or arm talent, but I do think if Corral went down, he might very well be our starting QB.

No question he would be.

I can't agree about RR being incompetent. He's done too much to be anything less than a damn good coach. From what he did at West Virginia, to the trend at Michigan (remember, Hoke went 10-2 with RR's players). He wasn't bad at Zona either. He did fine in his year at Ole Miss too with a very young team.

He could probably do very well at another stop if he'd evolve a little and hire some recruiters.

The most disappointing thing about Plumlee's career at Ole Miss so far is that not a one of those nickname loving bastards has coined "J-Rip/J-Ryp."

I have. Like I said he has some good guests and he isn't too bad except the constant Titus commercials and the rest of the crap he sells. I like it better than the gridiron.

Bo Bounds is even less likable in person.

Never met him but he definitely sounds like an arrogant douche. Instead of using his platform to help market for MSU he'd rather talk about how awesome Kiffin, Corral, Shea Patterson, JRP and other OM players are and then compare MSU talent to more G5'ish. He's a tool shed.

Bo is a MSU alum and fan, his show is not my cup of tea, but I see no need to rip him to shreds. He reps Starkville more than the the Starkville Chamber of Commerce. He's likely our most well known media personality after Bwalk. He tries to play it even between State and Ole Miss. A blind man could see they were going to have a good year and Golden Corral would have a great year while we would struggle to get to 6-6, so Bo went with the hot hand. He was in the bag for Dak the same way.

Matt Wyatt is all MSU all the time and Jake is a MSU guy (but he also tries to play it even). Brooks was supposed to be the Ole Miss guy, but he is interested in Ole Miss even less than I am. I hate to see Brooks go, his show was the best to me as it was lighthearted and fun.

His last several years have been pretty mediocre. We literally ran the same 4 plays over and over in that Egg Bowl. The 4th and 26, Corral had to change the play in the huddle because the team knew it wouldn’t work. He’s a one trick pony, and has been unable to adapt. He’s also psychotic, but that’s a different conversation.

Incompetent may be strong, but he’s certainly not a coach capable of showing a QB’s full skill set and adapting and utilizing it. Corral is getting legit Heisman buzz, is an elite arm talent, and got benched so we could run the same 2 zone reads, left and then right, left and then right, over and over again. The offensive coaching difference between that 2019 and 2020 teams is startling.

Plumlee and Rich Rod got a whole lot of hype for those garbage time TD's against LSU. As if Ole Miss wasn't a 4-8 team that struggled to move the ball on any defense with a pulse.

The offensive unit was very young that year. You can't deny or ignore that.

And there's no question he utilizes a very mobile QB. It should come as no surprise that he chose Plumlee over Corral.
