I Would Hope so... makes the most sense considering her success and connection to the program... I would hope her agent wrote in an exemption to her buy-out for Nebraska
I hope this doesn't start a cataclysmic downward spiral for the VB team, a blue blood to dud would suck. But Good Luck to Coach Cook, he was damn good!

I want to hear how this came about. I read that DBK was in Omaha to take in some volleyball. Maybe that's where it was finalized & signed.
It's hard to believe that DBK could have been very publicly hanging around the athletic offices in Lincoln without being recognized and generating big rumors.

Dannen clearly didnt consult with Steve Pederson on how to conduct a coaching search.

She was never going to be the head coach at this point in time…any thought of that was ludicrous.
I thought the same when Coach Petit stepped down. What does Cook do his first year? Wins a national title.
With that said Coach Cook will be a tough act to follow. I wish Coach Dani all the best.
DBK was always meant to be the successor.

I have no idea but she wasn’t even the lead assistant so it had to be understood.

If she didn’t know it, she’s not very smart… I feel like everyone in and around the program and just about all the fans as well new that it would go to someone like DBK.
In other words, I think she knew it.
Job one for DBK is to try and keep as many of the current players in the program and the newcomers.
I think a transfer window opens up when a coach leaves.
Why wouldn’t they? Serious question… What makes someone think they would fall apart? They are hiring one of the best coaches in America to replace one of the best coaches in America. This isn’t a buddy hire… DBK had their school in the National championship game. We’ll be ok.
