Does anyone think ADJH is over his head?

I honestly think Ross Bjork would have a better handle than John on the entirety of the AD, marketing and selling a product.

I just saw that OM is improving their facilities while we can't have chairbacks and clean seats for opening day in the biggest college sport. Not sure where they got Keith Carter but I wish we could sell the AD as a product

ETA: the opening day remark is internet hearsay.

We are as far along on our south endzone expansion as Ole Miss is on their football stadium renovation. They don't have any renderings yet....they're just speaking in generalities. We are also working on a Hump renovation.

I have my concerns with Cohen, but comparing what we're doing to what Ole Miss is doing is stupid and I don't know why some of our folks do it so much.

I wouldn’t hire Ross Bjork to direct my athletic support, much less an athletic department.

You're absolutely right. It is less about what they are doing and moreso knowing that our gameday experience has seemed not to be a priority (from internet hearsay). Just sparking a discussion

There are certainly concerns with gameday issues. The chairback fiasco was exactly that. And the chairbacks we ended up with are ****. We could at least pressure wash the stadium. But there are some things we do well, too, so I try to not just focus on the bad stuff.

We aren't long removed from Ole Miss putting up pop tents in their stadium for party decks.

In less than 12 years the GameDay experience won't matter cause the stadium will be flooded thanks to the greatest threat mankind has ever faced, global warming climate change( from internet hearsay)

Funny you say that. I worked for MSU custodial services in college and one summer we pressure washed that stadium from top to bottom. It 17'n sucked.

Ross Bjork has had nothing to do with any of those wins. That makes no sense.

Seems like a weird time to troll fellow fans over the AD. It's Friday, and we're still on the high from aTm for another day. Relax.

I don't get the claims of Cohen incompetence. We have, as an athletic department overall, accomplished a lot under him. Sans football. I feel like football is the measuring stick and I get it, but I can't ascribe the level of incompetence stated by many here to someone who has seen so much success.

We've done nothing in basketball, WBB is shot to hell, football sucks, and we're last in making changes every team in the conference handles, but ok. Now that Bjork **** is Reb troll talk but Cohen has struggled a lot outside of baseball.

We will not have a full stadium this weekend. Turns out that demand is up for everything except attending games in person. Why? It’s the AD’s job to figure out why our attendance sucks and make adjustments.

Also changing the location of the dawg walk is dumb.

No, he put us in position for a Natty in one of the big 3 sports and delivered. An experience of a lifetime given with our history and luck.

Off the hot seat for now for me & it isn’t debatable. Just win baby

If that dude can fix at MSU something that is also a national trend, he needs to write a book and retire...

You're trying to make a correlation where there isn't one.

You may be correct. Maybe the only correlation is the fact or opinion that maybe Ross let’s his coaches recruit how ever they like. Big time cheating and what not. He obviously looked the other way at Ole Miss.

I would like to comment on the game day experience. First, I am an old guy. I have ATTENDED an average of about 5 games a year since 1961. That’s somewhere around 300 games. My wife and I both have knee issues but still we have been making the effort to attend the games. However, I think we are about done. It seems that our athletic department just wants to make it harder and harder for us to attend, much less enjoy it. We kind of feel like the unwanted relatives at Thanksgiving dinner. Under John Cohen every aspect of the game day experience has gone down in my opinion. Traffic snarls, parking, stadium entrance, concessions, chair backs, etc, etc. Also, it is true that we do leave some games early. My wife has a new knee so she is a bit unsteady and slow. It’s better if we don’t try to move in or out with lots of other people. Apparently that’s no okay with our little snot nosed QB. No problem, we are following his advice and just staying home for the rest of the season. After 60 years of attending games and 30 plus years of giving to the Bulldog club I think we are going to just wrap it in maroon and white. Our QB can offset our ticket and Bulldog club contribution with his NIL dollars. This used to be our favorite time of the year, but our University has just about run us off. Don’t want any blue hairs in the stadium? Mission accomplished. Not that it matters, but I did a little quick math and between tickets, parking passes, tailgating spots, and Bulldog Club contributions, we have spent over a quarter million in our lifetime on State football. Seems like a poor marketing strategy to run off your long time Customer base but hey it is what it is. Just wondering if the youth of this State will give them 60 years? I hope so, but I seriously doubt it.

I could have written this. My BDC contributions continue but not my attendance. Ain’t nothing wrong with wrapping it in maroon and white.
