Jodie Meeks vs. Jamal Murray

[Ky_Bred_Cat]

Murray will be a star in the NBA.

I wonder how many points Meeks has scored in the NBA.

Meeks is a bench warmer in the nba, Murray will be a star. Nuff said

[kyups01]

Meeks doesnt even play basketball compared to Murray!

[Shaudylo]

Bringing up the NBA is stupid when we are talking about college. By that logic then Lamb must be far down the list of good players to play at UK

I'm taking Murray though you could say he had more talent around him than Meeks but this team still wasn't all that talented minus Ulis and Murray this season

[EvilMD]

Methinks if Murray played one season in 2009 and Meeks just got done playing his third year at UK, same stats, everyone would be saying Meeks.

For a pure scorer its Meeks, overall player is Murray. Murray is very close in scoring though. Of course Meeks as a freshmen was nothing like Murray. What would Murray look like as a junior? Meeks had Patterson down low to take some of the pressure off him.
Whole defenses were designed to stop Murray, stop him and you beat UK.

Murray will be a top 3-5 pick in the draft so thats another testament to his abilities.
If Murray stayed to the end of his junior year he could be testing those 50 point games several times.

Why not both?

Murray, but only because he played for Cal. If Meeks wouldve played for coach Cal, it wouldve been Meeks and not even close. Despite what a few posts here say, Meeks had athleticism Murray could only dream about. In fact, lack of elite athleticism will be the only thing keeping Murray from being great in the NBA.

Murray will drafted very high. But its because of the historically weak draft. In a typical draft, hed by a top 15-20 type player due to lack of athleticism. He'll almost certainly never be a "stud". But he will probably be a long time contributor or an important 2nd unit scorer; just like Meeks.
